New model that released a few weeks ago along with the 7800 XT, it seems to have the same performance as the 6800 (Non-XT) just with less VRAM (12GB vs 16GB).
Usually dispatched within 1 to 3 weeks.

Yeah ok so it's a. Afterpay deal, so not entirely comparable…but same performance for basically the same price, a generation after. Thanks AMD, good to see you're sticking with being as evil as nvidia.
7700 XT is 20% faster than the
$480 6700 XT
So the 7700 XT is not a deal until it hits $580
7800 XT is 5% faster than the
$800 6800 XT
So the 7800 XT is not a deal until it hits $840
AMD have huge margins on Navi 32 and are trying to earn big bucks on garbage mid-tier RDNA 3 before Battlemage
its a sad generation. Both NV and AMD are trying to rip off consumers. like every card (bar maybe 4090) from both sides should be one "tier" down.
4070 TI should be 4070 at 800, similar 7900XT should be 7800XT at 800. thats generation uplift.
like your new gen card should be one to two tier faster than last gen at same price.
Its a joke that current gen is only similar to last gen and sale for higher.
I guess that's what intel is doing too.
New gen should have pushed the old gen pricing down… but it didn't.
Exactly.
its so "funny" like what SHOULD happen is i have a new product called 7800XT (which should be faster but ignoring that fact).
Ok time to sell my 6800XT for 100-200 dollar less and make market space for my new 7800XT at that price.
Instead, lets just not release 7800XT until we sell all of our 6800XT for the same price. then simply replace the product with pretty much same thing.
Like TV market is right, each year before releasing new model, old model goes on discount.
but GPU market is stupid right now. NV doesnt give a shit bec they can just sell AI card for huge profit and ppl still buying their crap like super expensive 4090.
While AMD is like, oh we can be slightly less evil and pretend to be the good guys.
NV are like Apple, the prices are a ripoff but they give you the complete package
AMD are charging B-tier NV prices for C-tier cards
Ray tracing and compute are still garbage on RDNA 3 and anyone buying these mid-tier cards is going to be wiped out when AMD "suddenly" improves RT/compute for the RDNA 4 refresh next year
And don't even mention FSR 3 - still not available almost 1 year after it was announced
that is because Gaming GPU market is getting dwarfed by AI, both NV and AMD know this so they making as much money now, before they start only start making GPU's for AI.
yeah it is "i dont give a shit" mentality which happens in any sector dominated by 1/2 big players.
Bec you have no choice, you either quit or you have to pay up.
I can see PC gaming dying really faster at this rate, bec why wouldnt you just get a console for few hundred.
A top tier gaming PC cost easily 2.5k to 3k. While PS5 cost like 700.
With that extra money saved, just buy a nice TV. you are done.
$800 6800 XT
you might check this again :)
remember guys, after cryto mining dies, the prices will freefall, plumet, drop bellow RRP. LMAO!
have fun overpaying for mid tier cards
I have been waiting for this "freefall" several years now…
dont worry, keep believing, its coming!!
Just like the Property market?
these are not the droids you are looking for
Warranty claim would be a major hassle if one was offered at all. Risky to say the least.
The 7700XT will have a price drop from $450USD to $400USD in a few months time.. if you want to wait these things will be going for around $650 :) standard price
I think this will only happen once existing 6700XT stocks are sold off.
I also saw 7800XT for 814 ish on Amazon Japan last night.
Just beware first the very long shipping time. Expected end of Oct, that is really close to Black Friday sale (and we will have an amazon prime day sale in Oct).
It is highly likely we will get a sale of 7700xt/7800xt for Black friday in Aus
2nd ofc warranty issue.
