This is the final piece of my Olight kit that I have been holding out for. I bought the Javelot for spotting / hunting, I got the Seeker to use as a 'find my way around hella bright light thingo', and now I just need a headlamp with a red light.

The sale starts tomorrow night and I've got it ready to check-out when it does. I've seen a few videos about it's features and stuff but I'm mostly just interested in the build quality, red light, and bright white lights (for when I'm not hunting).

  • Good deal. Thought I did well when I got it for 105 /w $10 coupon a ~month ago.
Perfect for what you're going to use it for!

  • Is this battery replacable in these?

  • +1

Now you just need to do the flashlight addict thing and get the Marauder Mini to make both the Javelot and Seeker redundant so they can sit on the shelf lol.

  • +1

Looks like a nice product but the sensor and waving your hand to adjust brightness sounds off putting.

Ill suss out some YT reviews perhaps and go from there.

    • Thanks. We'll await your findings.

      • Done.. See latest reply to deal

    • I have a different one with the waving gesture thing and it is exactly as annoying as you think, but it can be turned off. Anyone know if it can on this one?

      • +2

HAND WAVE CONTROL FUNCTION OFF: When the headlamp is off, quickly double-click and long press for 3s until the red light keeps flashing. It will turn off HOW automatically when the button is released.

I have the array 1 and I was at a training exercise today stupid thing kept changing brightness not great as a paramedic blinding my patient

Will probably pick one up this sale, I have an unhealthy obsession with olight…

        • Lifesaver (literally too)!

  • I love my Perun 2 Pro, I wish it had the battery on the back like this one.

  • Could anybody decipher this, please?

    Flood+Spot Light Mode (High)
    1,500 lumens
Run Time Flood+Spot Light Mode (High)
    2 + 188 minutes

I read this as 1500 lumens for 2 minutes and then something much lower (like 750 lumens?) for 188 minutes.

    • This review should help answer most of your questions.

      • Thanks! So it's 380 lumens for 180 minutes - meh.

        • You can get 7.5hr @ 300 lumens with spot and flood (see manual at bottom of page)

Keep in mind the size and heat factor. If you want longer run time then youll need bigger unit like

Otherwise you can look at Array S2 or Perun 2 .

          • @vash5: I use Perun 2 and it's a baseline of what's acceptably bright in long run. It would be cool to have a battery on the back though

@alpln: Ahh cool, no worries :)

Dawn you OP!! You have turned me into lighting Nerd now :P

First up, found a better deal for extra $13 on the site that's a bundle

    https://m.olightstore.com.au/olight-array-2-pro-rechargeable…

Array 2 Pro (Choice of either Gober Kit, i1R 2 Pro or iMini 2 OD)

NOTE: Limited colour option combo available with the deal above..

HOWEVER, after chatting with customer service they have advised me that you can purchase items separately and they will refund you the difference if you reach out to customer service team.

    Post Research Finding:

Light looks good from the features vs price vs build quality.

RRP is closer to $130-140 (google search product name). Olight site has it for $139 rrp

    Amazon listing: https://amzn.asia/d/0Z9SpLc (no stock)

CCC was not helpful, price history is flat at $320

I was hesitant on swipe feature but after looking at reviews it has a very limited range so this should prevent/ reduce false activation. Swipe can't be turned off but i imagine you could always block the sensor with tape.

Main operation is via button on top of unit. On/Off, switch modes and brightness.

I love your comment.. I love the extra info! Thank you!

Re: becoming a light nerd.. umm.. you and me both! LOL… I thought that was it.. I thought this was the last one.. but now I want this: https://www.olightstore.com.au/olight-warrior-3s-2300-lumens…

I'm waiting for the next sale to happen so I can get it discounted.. I told my wife I want to have it as the light in her car (to replace the Wuben C3 that's in there now)..

I'd love to get your thoughts on this thing and suggestions before I buy one? Obviously i'll be sharing any discounts I find before I get it.

      • Hahaha.. glad you liked it 😋

I was thinking about doing the same but i need to look into it.

Sounds silly to say but car internal temps can vary wildly and im worried it will either kill the battery quickly (best case scenario) or start a fire (worst case) 😬. Need to donmore research on this.

I suppose in this instance you want a torch with long life. But another aspect is UV light. (This could make it easier to find fluid or leaks that would otherwise be hard to find.

In this case, seeker 4 mini looks like a good solution.

        https://m.olightstore.com.au/seeker-4-mini-edc-torch.html

I need to ask support, but if you can use seeker 4 dock with mini that would also be great because you could doc it and be able to use usb-c to charge it.

Speaking of discounts. You get x10 O coins for logging in daily. So that 3560 free coins a year to help boost your membership level 😎

P.s sorry about the late reply.

Edit.. so yeah looks like i was right

Electronic devices powered by lithium-ion batteries are hazardous when exposed to hot temperatures, potentially causing a car fire. Some electronic devices that you must not leave in your cars are phones, laptops and power banks.

  • Damn this looks solid. I bought a Biolite 425 for night running recently which is awesome and loved the design with battery on the back. This looks just as good!
