Any reason you'd get this over a laser?
laser gives off bad air particulates that can make people sick (Asthma etc) so not very good for home use if you got little kids.
I think even the most die-hard health people advise you consider not sitting in close proximity to heavily used printers if you're asthmatic (or maybe heart conditions for some reason?)
If it's used infrequently, does it pose a health risk? I just bought a laser printer for my home office and now I'm worried. But I probably print once every 2 days
Lasers can't print photos.
Lasers are great until you need new toners and drum, most of the time it's cheaper to get a new printer. MOST come with starter toners only.
Nothing beats a laser for text and presentations. But for home, inkjets are super flexible and great for ad-hoc photos.

Not sure if you need/want the ADF but there are cheaper models in the Epson eco tank line up that have auto duplex printing as well.
Just bought one from Harvey Norman. They have this model for $528, plus you can claim $50 for recycling your old printer.
