    • That was the first thing that came to mind when I saw the pic.

Did you just prove your own post isn't a bargain?

        • +1

Yes, but I can't post the eBay version because they're not top sellers ;)

          Description on Sellers page.
          【3 Hole design】
          — 2 in the eyes and 1 in the mouth.

          • +4

@TrippleDman: Good clarification. I was wondering where the holes were.

          • +1

@TrippleDman: I mistakenly thought there's another hole in the neck area

I'm reporting this for black facing. Highly inappropriate for lunchtime reading. Now where did I put my coon cheese and crackers.

        • -1

Good on you for calling it. Thriving as much as ever.

        • +15

Toughen up princess. We don't need your white saviour complex protecting us from jokes.

        • How do you feel this is racist exactly? Also it's 'alive' not 'live'.

          • @cookie2: Thanks for asking, I appreciate your question.

The comment I was referring to can be seen as problematic because it appears to make light of racial stereotypes. Mentioning 'coon cheese' and 'crackers' in this context can be offensive to some people as it invokes racial imagery. It's essential to be sensitive to such matters and avoid using terms that may perpetuate stereotypes or hurt others unintentionally.

Regarding the typo, thanks for the correction, it should indeed be 'alive,' not 'live.'"

            • +5

@settings: The joke isn't making light of racial stereotypes, it's making light of people who read racism into everyday inocculous objects and events. It's making fun of people like you.

            • @settings:

an be offensive to some people

“It's now very common to hear people say, 'I'm rather offended by that.' As if that gives them certain rights. It's actually nothing more… than a whine. 'I find that offensive.' It has no meaning; it has no purpose; it has no reason to be respected as a phrase. 'I am offended by that.' Well, so (profanity) what."

              -Stephen Fry

It's essential to be sensitive to such matters

              Why?

Pandering to snowflakes never achieves anything, it only makes them complain even more.

      • +17

"No no no, you can't say that! It's Cheer cheese and white people."

      • +7

        and pack of fags (lollies)?

Called a ski mark, but I have never in my life seen anyone use it for skiing

    • +69

      Most people use skis.

    • -6

but I have never in my life seen anyone use it for skiing

Maybe because you live in Australia, and skiing isn't really a big thing here. Go somewhere much colder and prepare to be shocked…

      • +1

My comment is based on movies with ski scenes. Only bad guys wear these "ski masks" when chasing some action hero. Never have I seen a normal person in a movie/video wear this when skiing, regardless of where in the world.

        • My comment is based on movies…

You know that movies are not real life yeah?

Never have I seen a normal person in a movie/video wear this when skiing

Here I found a video of people wearing ski masks while skiing so you know that movies and real life are different: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tSIrfrInE6U

      • Well I'm next to my wife now and boy am I shocked. I could ski off her all night.

    • someone could use it to secure a giant pay rise i thought.

You could get a maximum of 2 years in prison for carrying this with unlawful intent in Victoria

        • +18

@lachhelix: I had a toy gun confiscated by police when I was a child here, 100% serious :(

            • @idonotknowwhy: How did they even know you had it? I'm assuming you were playing and the Grinch came over and confiscated it?

            • @idonotknowwhy: Tell us more please

              • @jalwa: I was 8 at the time, so memory is a bit vague. But I was playing in the front yard with a friend/neighbor the same age. We both had toy pistols which we got from (I think it was) The Reject Shop.

Police officers happened to be walking past and I can't remember / didn't really understand what they told us, but they called us out to the front of the driveway, took the toy guns from us and said they've been "confiscated" and left.

They were really just plastic toys which made a click sound when you pulled the trigger, didn't project anything out, etc.

I got told off by my dad later when he found out, because I didn't come and get him.

                • @idonotknowwhy: Confiscating (stealing) toys from 8 year olds! Very weird!!

        • Same with a flashlight though

      • +2

        It's a ski mask/beanie. Of course it's legal :)

Ah OK. Watched the movie Heat way too may times methinks.
