I got a dual protocol enclosure from this brand a while back and the quality is fantastic; it's small, well made and fits together nicely. The SSD is held in place by the lid (there's a notch in the case and post on the lid for proper support), while this makes installation a little fiddly it does simplify things and keeps the size down. The lid is 1.5mm thick and quite sturdy, it provides the bulk of the cooling and has proper contact since there's no sliding mechanism. I was also pleasantly surprised to find a thermal pad placed between the chipset and case upon removing the PCB.
Includes a USB-C to C and USB-C to A cable, JMS583 chipset.
One per customer, AUD is googled so expect your bank to be a little different.
The SATA version is a little cheaper at US$8.42(~A$13.07) and is available on the same page. Please note it only includes a USB-C to A cable.
And so what sort of transfer speed would I expect out of this? And what is a cheap 1tb ssd to go in this?
