[VIC] Ameda Elite Breast Pump Hire $15/Week (Min 2 Weeks) @ Express@home

61

Cheapest rental cost of hospital grade breast pump in Melbourne

$15 per week (Pick up only - minimum 2 weeks hire)

There are only 2 pumps that are used in hospitals, the Medela Symphony and the Ameda Elite. Other brands claim to be hospital grade but no hospitals use them.

I am a small business trying to promote my product and service.

Seems to be your normal price. Rather than a deal. Sure you claim its cheaper than other competitors, but as someone commented in the other post, delivery cost (and it being melb only) kills that deal.
also why couldn't you just include this in your post from only 3 days ago https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/798532

    • Different machines. Highlighting the fact we have the best price, albeit Melbourne only

Carl, you are one sick puppy! But good luck with your attempt.

Thanks, didn't need one but I got one..? 🤷‍♂️

  • Not sure it it a service that really makes sense (a bit like those services that rent out capsules for a higher cost than buying a second hand in-date one). My partner got a medela solo for $97 (baby bunting price matching amazon a few months ago) and while she used it a lot for the first month or so while our daughter struggled with the breast (so we were bottle feeding her EBM), now that she is a champ on the boob, my partner still uses it to help take the pressure off every so often. No good if you've already returned this pump and need another one in a month or two's time…

  • I’m not sure your comment makes sense. How is that related to a rental service of a breast pump that users are familiar in hospitals?
Hospital grade pumps help increase milk supply, not just maintain.
    Thanks for your comment though

    • What???
      That's not true at all.
All the lactation consultants at home have never claimed theirs to be better than the home grade breast pumps..
If anything it might be slightly quicker to express vs a home pump, but that would be it.
Save the money and just buy the Medela solo. You can use it for multiple pregnancies rather than put all this money into something and not own it.
Also no hospital from the 3 children (all at different hospitals) we have had has ever used your pumps. So that's a lie as well.

  • Ameda and Medela are the only pumps used at hospitals in Melbourne. Not a lie at all

  • Hospital grade pumps help increase milk supply, not just maintain.

    ?????

Hospitals use Ameda and Medela pumps because they have spare parts available. They are also more robust and suited to the flogging they get.

The Ameda Elite is a very old piston style breast pump and not a favourite with new mothers.
My advice mirrors other comments. If you need a breast pump for more than a week or two, buy a cheap one rather than hiring.

    • But if you do want to hire for a week or two, please consider hiring from us. Thanks
