Back with another M.2 SSD enclosure deal for everyone who has picked up one of the countless cheap M.2 NVMe SSDs lately. A good option for those who are looking to use this as a portable SSD or for cloning.

This one is compatible with M Key, B&M key NVMe SSDs in the sizes 2230mm, 2242mm and 2280mm. It has fast read/write speeds due to being USB 3.2 Gen2 (10Gbps) via USB-C and uses the JMS583 chipset. A thermal pad is included to make contact between the SSD and metal case for better heat dissipation. The SSD will autosleep after 10 minutes of inactivity and there's an LED light that'll glow different colours.

AU$ based on current Mastercard rate and GST inclusive.

  • With all these M.2 deals coming out, you’ll need to load up on this

  • I missed Yottamaster M.2 NVMe/SATA from the previous deal. Is this one better or worse?

    • They're pretty similar. Yottamaster has the advantage of supporting M.2 SATA SSDs if you had any of those lying around.

      • Nope, no need for SATA. Just need to upgrade M2. NVMe SSD in my laptop with the newer one. I must admit, though, that Yottamaster enclosure is more atrtactive that that of UnionSine.

I keep a close eye on the enclosures. The Kingspec one currently goes for US$8.15. Historical low is US$7.86 for the GUDGA version so I'm hoping it will drop further eventually.

I personally use the JEYI 10Gbps fan cooled and JEYI 20Gbps as my daily drivers. Very LaCie inspired in their design and probably too expensive for OzBargainers.

  • The website showing USD9.81 for me.

  • Looks familiar

    • Asus has one that looks exactly the same. Assuming they rebranded it lol.

  • opened in incognito and made burner for order total $8.69*

    • Just don't overdo the burner accounts with AliExpress because if the system flags it they'll ban you and future accounts.

  • can these be used for USB OTG type of thing? like, connect to phone (samsung) and use it as storage for media files etc

    • I don't see why not.

  • i want to buy this, but i am clueless what this is for. what does it do?

Put in an nvme ssd and use it for external storage

sweet, this is exactly what i need. i have a portable hard drive that is getting too full, so this is perfect timing.

        thank you

If you upgrade your ssd, and have no spare slots, you can stick your old one in this and use it as an external drive.

        thanks for your help mate

        • No problem, hopefully you grabbed one before it was OzBargained

  • I was able to finally order just now

  • When I first received this enclosure i was getting write speeds of around 550MB/s (confirmed with Crystal DiskMark benchmark ) while transfered large files to my NVME drive. I ejected the drive and left it unattached to my computer for several hours.

That same night, I made some more transfers but I can only get speeds of 40MB/s (read and write, confirmed with Crystal DiskMark benchmark, around 50% free space on the drive)

I have no idea what why the speed is so slow now. I think either the enclosure or the NVMe drive has been permanently damaged by heat.

I don't have any spare enclosure to test the NVMe drive and I don't want to put another NVMe drive into this enclosure incase it is overheating and damaging the NVMe drive.

Anyone have any idea what's going on here? Thanks

edit im using a SK hynix 256gb NVMe drive (the short one) from this deal
