  • Any chance there's a 4 computer with two displays going in and sharing our to two monitors and one keyboard and mouse?

    • This is 2 to 1. There is 2 to 2 of same brand.

      • Thanks but I need to switch between 4pc each running 2 monitors.

    • I just searched 'kvm dock' on Amazon and found this. I don't own one so can't comment on quality. Do your own search, research the brand, read the reviews, etc.

I'd recommend getting one with Hot-Key selection, so you can switch systems via pressing keys on your keyboard.

    • I bought the 2 in 2 out earlier this week. It comes with a little cabled button you can stick under your desk and flick between them.

    • I has weird USB issues with this feature on other switch, button works fine for me.

      • I haven't had that but I get weird problems where some programs get the resolution wrong.

  • Anyone know if these pass through adaptive framerates like g-sync or freesync?

I have a 2 display port, 2 host/pc version of this - same brand off aliexpress.
On my PC gsync reports it's working fine however upon first boot my main monitor (AW3821 - 3840 x 1600 @144hz) will go black and come back a handul of times but only at first start. Whilst in game no issues - didn't notice any screen tearing so I think GSync is working right. The other 1080p 24" 60hz no issues at the same time.
On my work laptop connected via a TB dock the UW I only managed I think 80hz but doesn't have the black screen flash issues my PC does. Same 24" 1080p also connected so I think it's either a TB bandwith limitation or the GPU in the work computer just doesn't have the grunt.

      • No problems with the main PC running at @144hz?

Need a similar setup and don't want to give this up for a crappy work laptop stuck at @60hz. Main issue is the laptop is port limited to USB-C alt mode and a single usb out. Doesn't seem to be any KVM switches that cater to mixing up USB-C and display port options without converter cables.

        • Aside from the screen blanking a handful of times first start up into windows no issues from PC side @144hz. It did seem really picky about which dp cables I used - did not like the brand new ugreen dp1.4 ones I got for the switch over but worked with the Belkin dp1.2 one aside from the above described issue which I guess is more of a testament to Belkin quality than anything else.

Not too familiar with USB alt mode but would a normal dock solve your issues? I guess that is a converter of sorts.

Prior to the KVM switch I had PC connected via DP to 38" and HDMI to 24". I then had the laptop dock connected via HDMI to the 38 and HDMI to the 24. In addition I had a USB switch for the kb mouse speakers etc. Switching between gaming PC and work laptop involved changing inputs on the 2 monitors and then changing host on the USB switch using a button. I just got fed up one day and got the KVM switch.
