should be merged with the other deal as they stack

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/796583

    • This one is active now. The one you linked to starts at 6pm AEST.

    • +1

Just cos something stacks doesn't mean deal should be merged lol

  • +1

    Now we’re talking!
Also Nike flash sale 25% with 15% WP CB yew! 🤑

  • Are auctions payable for cashback?

  • +2

I'm struggling to find anything to buy from eBay

Interesting. Last night I was comparing prices on a few items and Amazon came in the cheapest

Obviously AliExpress is way cheaper than both of them for a lot of items that are typically resold

I'll have to have a dig and see if there's anything on eBay these days

    • +1

You really paying extra to have things now tbh

      • +1

It could be good for like protein powder n stuff

Normally I jump between AliExpress, eBay and Amazon lol

I mean Amazon arrives the quickest, but prices vary.

        • +1

Sheesh, don't start me on protein powder prices. I just took a look at prices after a long gym exit and nearly died! 😱

          • @KangaDrew: Yeah, that's why 10+15% off could be handy bahahahhaa

Honestly, cheaper to eat meat these days!

  • $25 cap lol, there goes my plan to buy the A2000 GTX

  • boom! I still love you westpac

  • I assume you can pay on eBay through PayPal using your Westpac card? Or do you need to pay directly with the Westpac card during checkout?

    • +1

I would think with this kind of deal, it's always safer to pay direct with your Westpac credit card

      • +1

Yep, just noticed this clause on the ShopBack page too - thanks!

"Purchases made using online payment methods such as PayPal, where ShopBack is not able to identify whether an eligible card was used at the merchant checkout, will not qualify for Westpac bonus Cashback (even where an eligible card is linked e.g. to the PayPal account)."

        • Because you cant pay with PayPal AND Westpac card within the eBay system, you can pay eBay -> PayPal (With Westpac)

If you know what I mean

  • +3

So this stacks with the 10% at 6PM? Anyone know if both would stack with PLUSAUGSNS?

    • +4

This stacks with the 10% at 6PM as per the other post.

But not sure if it stacks with the eBay Plus code… Would like to know that too…

  • I need to get a Westpac card. Is it just credit cards or is debit Westpac Visa/Mastercard eligble as well?

    • +2

Debit card is fine. And you can get instant access to digital card after opening account.

And don’t forget to deposit $2000 to have the monthly fee waived.

      • Deposit 2k every month to avoid fee? I just want to use it for these deals haha

        • +2

There is a monthly $5 account fee and it gets waived with a 2k deposit. You can transfer out the 2k immediately.

    • i got a debit card very easily

  • +1

    Is this per transaction?

    • +1

I think it is just one per customer? If some one can confirm?

    • +2

Always is unless specified "per member" or similar @Turd

  • What's the optimum spend to maximise cashback % return? ~$167 or ~$183 ?

    • Incl GST $183.

    • $166.67 —-reached $25 (cashback cap)

    • +2

      AU items $167, international $183.

  • I guess using the eBay plus $5 vocuher will void the cashback?

    • yes

      • hmm I don;t think so
mostly it tracks with Ebay codes

        • +2

          Not the personalised ones

Never had one go through with a personalised code, and I've tried at least 20 times

  • Can I pay $95 with ebay gift cards, and $5 with the westpac card will it give me 15% off $5 or the whole $100?

    • +4

Yea even $1 with Westpac card would give cashback on the whole $100.

      • Stupid question but what about 1c? Is it as long as a transaction is registered?

        • Not sure tbh, I've seen people say in previous Westpac deals (for Amazon) that it had to be at least like 50c or something to register, so maybe 1c wouldn't register.

      • that is wrong

      • Stop giving such poor advice on things you don't understand

  • +1

Would using the AUGG17 or AUGG15 code void the cashback?

  • -1

Yeah, I was wondering if you can use the eBay plus code for an extra 17% off

  • +1

Got an offer of 15% off, guess I should decline and immediately buy full price, seller be wtf.

    • Do it haha

      • +1

Yeah I just did lol, glad I didn't accept the offer he/she sent yesterday.

        • The ozbargain way would be to ask seller to change the price 10-15% lower. Then checkout immediately using shopback.

  • +1

Got the Starfield controller at $109.95

    15% cashback using westpac card
10% cashback through ShopBack after 6pm

Should come to around $85 or thereabouts.

  • +2

Nice cashback, but eBay is getting more stupid than ever. Unable to browse the site in a meaningful way. Looking for a powerbank, and the search result is diluted by stupidly cheap offer and when you click on it, that would either be a cable or a powerbank case.

    • +1

I find ebay search more frustrating than the search in outlook at work!! What I hate even more is knowing there's an item listed on ebay but it just won't show up in the search up the top when I sort by cheapest. Despite having only Australia selected for the location, I need to scroll through a bunch of listings from EU, US, Asia etc. just to get to some local listings down the bottom which are listed cheaper than all the foreign items I've had to scroll through.

      • Filter for "Australia only"

        • I mentioned it above, I have the item location set to Australia only. Is there another Australia only filter somewhere I'm missing? I always filter Australia only in the location before I start looking at the results

          • @johnnytran: Hmm that's strange. Usually that indicates there is no Aus availability.

  • has anyone tried AUGG17? will it track?

  • Purchased 10pm last night still not tracked.

  • Purchased 7pm. Still not tracked 12hrs later. Usually pretty quick.

    • +1

Yeah no track for me yet :( I feel better its not just me though.

    • +1

I did 5 separate orders between 6-11pm, just received tracking email on 4 of them about an hour ago. I normally got notified around this time the next morning for ebay

    • Both amounts are now tracked. Thank you SB!

  • My first purchase has tracked, now waiting on the second.

    • Have you got your second one yet? Still missing mine

      • Still no second one.

        • Same. First order tracked, second order not tracked..
Update: my second order just tracked! A whole 12hrs after my first order was tracked this morning. Even though the orders were placed only 20mins apart from each other.

  • Both the 15% and 10% CB tracked for me, thank you SB.

  • +1

    Purchased 6.05pm, 15% and 10% both tracked.

  • :( my myer order from today tracked but still nothing for ebay, purchased 11:52pm lol

    • yep tracked as well

  • I purchased around 11pm. No tracking so far

    • Has tracked now. Took 24hrs

  • 15% and 10% tracked just now, purchased 11:30 pm

  • All 3 orders were tracked. Ordered around 11PM.

  • Hey has anbybodys not tracked yet? my order from yesterday tracked but not the 10%+15% @gotyourback

    • I'm still waiting for the 15% Westpac bonus but the 10% has tracked

      • Westpac Bonus Cashback typically comes through instantly, but on occasion can take 1-2 business days in the case of some delays on the back end, so if you haven't received tomorrow arvo, definitely reach out to our team so we can chase this down for you.

        • @gotyourback What are the steps to submit a missing claim for Westpac bonus please? The 15% have not tracked. Thanks.

          • @SmashedMango: Hey mate, sorry to hear! Best to reach out via the help centre on our website or via email at [email protected] so our team can get in touch with the Westpac team and sort this out for you.

    • Hey hey, eBay have a 7 day tracking window, so could just be a slight delay on their end. Bear with mate, if you have received it by then we can reach out to eBay to get it looked at.

      • Mine shows as $0 for both and still calculating…

        • This typically happens if a non-stackable coupon code is used on the order or another term is violated, but happy to take a closer look at what's happened here. If this is for a purchase from the 17th, we have been having an issue with one of the stackable codes there, but reach out to me if you need a closer look.

  • Which amount is the cashback % based on? Mine is based on the discounted price after applying the AUGG17 code but inclusive of GST.

  • 2 of my 3 orders did not track - using only the app. @gotyourback has ignored my DMs, which is abnornal behaviour. Please have my back GYB!

    • Hey Mate,

      Has the Cashback tracked yet?

      Cheers,

      SB Team.

      • Thanks for asking. Claim put in and I see 2 rows stuck at "Calculating"/Pending with an ETA of 3 weeks and title of "ebay (Missing Cashback, [date], [amount]").. not literally, date & amount have values. Had zero comms since putting the claim in - not sure if that's expected. One higher priced item was unfortunately faulty and has just been returned & refunded, so it's not worth chasing any longer.

        • Hey Mate,

Sometimes the merchants take a while to get back to us - sorrry about the radio silence. If you want me to jump on the other one send through a DM and I can have a look at it.

          Cheers,

          SB Team.

          • +1

@gotyourback: Closing the loop on this, both have concluded as failed to track. Which I know is utter nonsense. I used the Shopback app. It was the last thing used before it went to the eBay app. I've used Shopback HUNDREDS of times without issue. Shopback knows that.

In my view, Shopback failed to investigate obvious technical issues on their side (which I gave details about). I'll be very careful using Shopback in future. Any glitches or abnormalities will be assumed as STOP, WON'T TRACK!

  • Ive just checked. My Westpac bonus which tracked correctly has suddenly changed to $0.00. Has this happened to anyone else?

    • yes same here, a couple of mine have gone missing or changed to $0
