The price of patch cables (150, 200 mm) seems competitive.

who needs 1 metre cables, in my experience, 1 metre is too long for desk switching jobs or too short for everything else
1m I used to use for the run between a desk phone and the computer. But seeing as desk phones are on the way out, they're less useful.
I'm also using a 1m from my switch to my pc at home. But that's because they're about 60cm apart…
There are more sizes on sale than just 1m
1m is my most common length for patching inside of data cabinets, e.g. from a patch panel to a switch, hence the name "patch cords":

yeah times have changed haven't they! auspost keep pushing those rates up. they used to actually do free shipping deals with us before covid because we spend x amount of money with them. now they will not even talk to you
