Crazy that the entertainment books are still a thing. As soon as you whip it out at any business they roll their eyes. Painful stuff.

    • +11

Well why would the business enrol in such a program if it’s painful? It’s not like they’ve been forcibly pushed to be part of the program.

Managers and owners see an opportunity for more advertising, retail staff see it as a red flag for scrimping customers - and more paperwork that will have a 50% chance of a customer meltdown when it doesn't process properly.

Still got the second 99c voucher to redeem next month. App says I've saved $80

      Have you though ?

      • +2

Definitely saved a bit, cant recall how much

Just used the entertainment app to save me $35 on our brunch bill. Well worth it

EB must be getting desperate to get some sales.
When I first purchased the book many many years ago, it was full of awesome deals.
Now it is 1) too expensive, 2) not enough decent deals to justify the price.

    I wouldn’t pay more than 99c !

  • Do the used coupons refresh after the 3 months membership expiry? Do the ones I used in the 99c deal come back?

      • +1

        I see. Weird system.

just registered, most are just rubbish ones with 5% discount or 25% on inflated prices etc
Nothing like it used to be

  • +4

Today involved of 25% off lunch, BOGOF coffee, BOGOF gelato. Plenty of value.

  • +3

Sure the book/app isn’t what it used to be (and there's way more competition/avenues for deal hunting) but you can easily get some good value out of this especially if you have kids. A couple of 2 for 1 ice creams or coffees and you are already there. 25% off a family meal etc. If you are already likely to find yourself in these situations it's not a hard sell at all for this price.

    12 Months.. used 50+ times.. saved 600+

not what it used to be, but still good 25% off dintaifung, sushi hub, tgifridays, and some sweet treat sanchurro, ice cream, etc (definitely not worth if its full price)

  • Agreed, the EB is not as worth as it use to be pre COVID times.
A lot of restaurants, which were participating have pulled out with very few 'new ones' joining EB bandwagon ( from BNE experience).
With the discounted price, it may still be worth purchasing if you find at least 5 restaurants (if not more) in your area, that you were planning to visit.
Also, the Woolworths gift card is still available with 4% discount, which is better than competitors (but happy to be corrected, here).

  • Does anyone know if this needs to be activated straight away or can you wait a while before doing so?

  • we get it free from 7rewards app free signup using 7+ account? what extra does this have?
