Lowest price via CCC, finds studs very well and also has electrical detection. Basically everything the top end model has but slightly smaller and missing a bubble level (you could easily stick one on).

Similar product at Bunnings goes for around >$100

  A cheap alternative is to use 1cm squared rare earth magnets to locate the screws holding the drywall boards to the studs. You should be able to find 2 screws one above the other, usually somewhere around half way up the wall (depends on drywall width used). The next lot of screws (for our house) is around 1.5 foot along the wall, at the same height.

  If you've got the 710+ (previous ozbargain deal) and a house that's had extensions over the decades so that stud spacing is irregular, wiring or old pipes in unexpected places etc. If this model is similar, then I would recommend it.

  Have fibre cement sheeting in house and testing walls with known studs and electrical wiring showed accurately.
