As new EX mining card for half year

    How should I understand that…?

    • +2

      It means used but spotless.
I got a 6800 from them and it was in almost pristine condition.
All the metals on it were free from corrosion and the only light scratches i could find were where the screws for the pcie bracket go in. Which I found perfectly reasonable
It has some nasty coil whine though, but that seems to be an issue with this card in general
Ymmv, some other commenters on past deals had some damage on their cards

        • +4

A person's concern when buying a video card isn't physical scratches and rust you turnip.

Yes it most certainly is a concern when miners have been known to pressure wash batches of video cards. Save your condescension for somewhere else.

@Techie4066: Please, that's not a thing. Save your "advice" for yourself and stop misleading people.

Also got a Sapphire Pulse 6800 from the previous deal and had the exact same experience from the condition down to the coil whine.

Have bought from these guys twice, first a 6600xt and then upgraded to a 6800xt. Cards worked well, no damage quick delivery but as always YMMV. PS Just be careful these cards are ridiculously large.

Now those are finally some good prices, although used. Almost as good as my 5700XT for 175$ from AliExpress

    • I've never seen them below $200 once you include shipping and gst

      • I know, always around 240-260, but this one popped up randomly and I had to grab it, lucky me 175 incl. shipping and gst.

  • this item wasn't eligible for the afterpay code last night right? was trying to combine it with the upsized cashback.

  • Grabbed a Gigabyte 3070 from them yesterday. With the shopback $20 back + $10 back on gift cards came to $350! Hope from the comments here it all checks out.

I bought a 6800 from these guys October last year and it just failed on me this week. Called them up and they said they couldn't do anything to help because it was outside of warranty and the OEM Sapphire doesn't support unless you have the original receipt.

I don't blame them or anything, I knew the risk when buying an ex-mining card. Just as everyone points out YMMV.

    • They advertise a 12 month warranty?

      • +2

Some of them only have 3 months for whatever reason. I'd personally avoid those ones and stick to the 12 month warranty ones

        • +2

Yeah so when I called, they said the Sapphire cards from back then would've only had a 3 month warranty.

My guess is that the longer warranty cards they would either have an original receipt for or a better OEM warranty for. Just speculation on my end.

    • Or the risk buying anything 2nd hand…

    • +2

I am sure you have the original receipt in one of your PHOTOSHOP folders

  • is there one with more fans…i think i need at least 6?

  • Was hoping Afterpay Day would drop these lower, oh well

  • Is this a good price for used?

    • Can you find a lower price on Facebook market/Gumtree?

    • Plus free express delivery for Plus users.

    • you can get a "new" 6750XT for $509, was under $500 ebay plus JAU17.

Not sure how much faster 6800 is compared to 6750XT?

      • 6800XT have 72 CU (compute units) s, while 6800 have 60 CUs. 6750XT have 40 CUs. Completely different class of GPU. 4GB more VRAM = future proof.

      • In fact, RX6900XT have 80 CUs, so 6800XT is only 10% slower… Both have the same clock speed… funny

      • Comparing 6800XT to 6750XT is like comparing RTX3080 to 3060.

  • As new!…

…Only been brutally maxed out for 4380 hours)…

I've got some better than new cards for sale..

Only 5 years old with barely 2000 hours of light work on them.

  • Ive got a dell 4k monitor 144hz, would it be better to wait for 6800 xt to go on sale?

    Any deals on 6800 xt?

    • I got the XFX 6800XT running a 43" 144hz monitor. The temperature is too high and the card fans goes really loud. Maybe my case is shit and the shitty Darwin weather. Playing anything on 1440p Ultra is fine though.

      • Oh no… im planning to put it in my mITX case, NR200. Might run into cooling issues :(

        • +1

I am using a NZXT H5 Flow mATX with 1 x120mm at the bottom, 2x 140mm at the front, 1x 120mm top front. 1x 120mm at the back and 1x120mm top back as exhausts. Idle temperature was about 43-49 degree for both CPU and GFX but as soon as I started gaming the GFX jump straight to 80 to 100 degree playing on 4K Ultra settings. You might be okay if you live down south since it's nice and cool there.

  • 6700xt!!! I should wait.

  • Aww I want 6800XT

People go wild for second hand products..lol

    • +2

At this moment, you know the graphic card market is doomed

  • Anyone know of any decent 7900xt deals?
