$250 max discount might make it tricky to get 25% off if travelling anywhere other than Singapore, KL, or Queenstown

    • might getem your discount's worth from Perth to Asian destinations

    • I guess if you are travelling with others you could sit together and book individually on the same flight from two devices?

      • yes you could, but doesnt guarantee you to sit together

        • +2

We actively choose to sit separately haha!

  • +4

I wonder if they will take 25% off after matching another price

  • +2

Thanks OP, been looking at flights to Queenstown and this helps heaps

    • +2

For which dates? And how much did it cost you?

  • +3

Price is inflated so not really saving.

    • +6

Yes, but I can't fly in the past.

    • +5

Checked a random return flight, they jacked up $300+ Rip off!!!

  • +1

Thanks op!!! just booked a ticket to queenstown!

  • +3

Is it per ticket ? Like if I want two tickets buy them separately? But also risking not being able to get seats next to each other

    • "discount applied per booking" so it seems like it would work if you paid individually.

  • +2

They charge a bunch of random fees!

    • +1

Yeah beatmyflight had better pricing for the same flight, same airway for my euro tour next year :/

  • Heard a bit about webjet fees, but with coupon is ~$200 cheaper than an ANA tokyo flight I was looking at.
Do they add extra fees later somehow that aren't listed in the 'payable now/amount to be charged now' checkout screen?

    • Doubt it - but just in case take a screenshot then charge back the extra later (after flight) if they attempt that dodgyness and lodge an ACCC complaint for good measure.

    • No - that price already includes the Webjet "booking price guarantee" and "servicing fee", which are the extra unnecessary fees that bump the price up.

      • They add fees in at the end and not upfront like other players and is required. I remember they were pulled up on it before and they said it was not quantifiable until the end. Really dodgy if you ask me. $50 booking fee kills this one.

Capped at $250 is kinda…..meh. At first I'm thinking WOAH 25%!!! but $250 cap completely destroys any 'celabratory' birthday bargains. Meh just another marketing gimmick.

  • +1

Their customer service is really bad. Once you buy the ticket, you are on your own. I had to ring airline directly to sort out the issue.

  • +2

just a gimmick to drum up buisiness, 25% off what a joke. and yes I have to experienced their customer service terrible.

Book your flights just make sure its not WebJet or you will be sorry.

  • +4

They have jacked up the prices by $400. Compared with Skyscanner for same flight on same day :(

    • +2

At least,, Overseas flight I ended up buying through Skyscanner was $800 more expensive on Webjet

  • +3

The prices are so much higher than the Skyscanner prices . Not sure if this quantifies as a deal. May be a marketing gimmick ?

    • $250 off makes are a few bargains vs Skyscanner/Momondo - agree base way more

      • Good to hear that but my routes have been jacked up.

  • +2

Flights I was looking at to LA were $200 cheaper at $1400 from brisbane plus an extra $42 by buying webjet gift cards on shopback. Happy. So I don't agree that all flights are jacked up….

    • I agree. I always price check Webjet, Flybuys Travel, Jetstar and Qantas. Plus Agoda recently. I go right through the checkout to see how much all the fees are. Webjet usually comes out in front. They have great prices on their packages too. I've book packages with flights and accommodation multiple times for Bali. They really slash the price of the hotel stay in the package

  • The flight was jacked up by ~$200, which then went down ~$100 cheaper than skyscanner post discount.

So, not too bad a saving

  • Can this be used for Business and First cabins?

  • +1

25% off inflated prices is not a deal. I'd suggest you shop around as it's highly likely you'll find it cheaper elsewhere.

  • Checked a flight to Tokyo against JetStar and Webjet's flights. It's about a $100 savings when including baggage, seat selection, and debit card fee. So it depends…

  • +4

People are being overly dramatic negging because specific flights are more expensive. The ones I’m looking at are only $50 more expensive before the discount so I’m still $200 better off.

This is a good deal for most people.

  • Watch out for the fees. I just bought tickets and $150 in additional costs was charged for 3 tickets. Support refuses to help. Still ended up slightly cheaper than buying direct but damn it's annoying.

  • Cheers OP..bought 2 return flights to HCMC including luggage for $915 over Thai new year (April) - Bamboo Air full service and 45kg on the way there / Jetstar with 20kg on the way back. Still need flights into Thailand but not sure I could have done better..

  • I just managed to get flights to Tokyo in Mar/Apr for less than $1K on Qantas. Given sakura season is coming in earlier each year, definitely not a bad deal at all. Ignore the negs and do your own research, there's some values to be had for sure.

Be wary though that the $250 cap discount applies per booking. I just booked two tickets in two separate transactions on the same account though, no issues.

  • Thanks OP. Just booked and saved $200 compared with direct

  • Checked a flight and it was cheaper to book direct, seems Webjet raised prices.
