  • Success purchasing at 9:05 with a Bankwest Card on Chrome browser. Cards received separately via email by 9:40.

  • 50 mins on hold but finally got through to customer service. They're going to issue a refund. Not going to bother trying again, not worth the hassle.

    Lesson learnt. Won't use this garbage site again.

  • My payment failed using AMEX - the AMEX authentication screen appeared but failed. I tried using Mastercard and the authentication screen required I input a security code, after which the transaction worked.

    It might be that the failures could be happening at the credit card end…??

    • No definitely not. I did the code/sms thing with my mastercard and also failed

    • I used Amex too. The first time fail and been charged. Amex required authentication at second time, but transaction fail too. Only show one pending charged for the first time. Don't want to try other credit card.

        Fortunately, the failed AMEX transaction is not pending for me.

      It just waste our time. Spend 1 hour try to purchase and X hours to get the money back because of transation fail. Got nothing.

  • Transaction processed @9.34 (chrome on mob), invoice received @9.36 (Amex), GC arrived @10, redeemed @10.05. Apart from slow processing during the purchase no other issues. Phew!

  • Tried many cards (citibank, virgin, amex), nothing works. Always keep getting "Transaction failed, please contact customer service." after the SMS verification. Is this random or something actually being flagged on their payment gateway (paydock.com)?

    Seeing how the comments go.. i’ll take a skip on this then, dont wanna risk and waste my time (+money). Besides, ideally I will be getting multiple smaller denominations to load up incrementally as needed over time in conjunction with ShopBack’s Westpac deals… so unless u need something big to use immediately on, may not be worth your time/money as well.

    Does that mean those who got a pending transaction, wont get their giftcards at all and miss out on the 10% deal ?

    Since the deal is now finished. Would ringing up the customer service be of any use and getting them to convert that refund into them honouring 10% discount amazon GC ?

      • My transactions hadn't gone through, so they said to contact the bank to get them to release the payments, then go back in and buy again. But they've taken the deal down til they can sort out technical issues.

    • 50 mins on hold but got through eventually and they're issuing a refund. So, no, we don't get our cards and missed out on the deal.

    I got through to their service desk/help whatever.
    Basically from what I can gather, if u got charged and your payment didn’t go through they need to issue a refund request which needs to be approved by some team. So yeah, you need to call

    Had a credit card bank code SMS check thingy before the payment could go through.

    Just got the second card delivered. All cards redeemed.

  • For those got the transaction failed message but still got charged:

    I just got off the call with CS after waiting for 50 minutes on the line. YMMV but apparently they have to put through a refund order for each failed transaction, which is prompted manually when you call them. Also they said there are over 100 similar cases this morning but only a few CS staff so if you are still on the line, either keep waiting or maybe try again a bit later to save your time.

    • Won't happen but since our cards have pending charges on them, just issue the cards to us manually then! :p

          Well I have a $600 gift card now that we probably can't use since we couldn't get the additional card wee needed for our purchase. Will possibly list it here in the classifieds if that's the case.

    so after 1 hour long wait … they said that my transaction was declined from their end so they will contact their head office for refund request .. now how on earth you can refund me if you have declined it ??

    this is big time scam in my opinion..

    they take the money and then don't give you card

    take 1 to 2 hour out of your life to call them and then do it again and again until they refund and you do the same with your bank again and again …

    and if you don't contact them then god knows what happens to your money

    i have not received refund as it is upto head office to decide and there is no time line on when they will decide that … !

    so please DO NOT BUY THIS CARD FROM THIS WEBSITE.

      • I asked and the day they can only refund as it was declined but my question was when transaction declined at Woolworths or Coles shop credit card don't get debited so how on earth they took money and didn't give gift card?

        Answer was it was declined so we can't… !

    I tried all my credit cards without success several times. My Amex does have a pending transaction, but I'll suspect that'll drop off in the coming days. If you have a pending transaction, it's probably not worth calling up and waiting, it should just disappear when the transaction isn't confirmed.

    • Well that didn't happen, just noticed the transaction was confirmed, have called up (got straight through to get the refund). What a stuff up!

  • I tried amex, hsbc, boq and all of them failed. Also called amex and they said no blocked payment at all.

    Shit website. Their devs cannot even add a loading icon when their request is processing

  • Feels like this warrants a AFCA complaint. multiple failed transactions despite Westpac saying all is fine on their end

  • Fortunately worked for me. Took about 1 min for the payment to be processed and 20 mins for the first voucher and another 20 mins for the second :)

  • Tried twice with Amex and got failed payments. Shocking website

  • 60 mins and still waiting…poor staffs at the call centre. 1000 angry customers calling, each takes 5 mins to process, 20 call centre staffs = 4 hours wait !!

  • Those have not called you better call and hold and ask for refund because they will charge you and no refund if your transaction failed.

    After way too many failed attempts across multiple cards since 9am, tried again in a "Transaction failed, please contact customer service." window with the discounted products still in cart, and finally got a "thank you for your order" and invoice at 10:26 with the discounted rate paid to Amex (after the deal ended / new cards don't get the discount / refreshing clears the cart).

    Luckily none of my unsuccessful attempts appeared to leave a pending transaction.

    Might be worth still trying if you've got the cart window still open 🙂

    For the old Coles MasterCard deal before, I still have my ANZ CC, that worked fine. Sad

    For those who had got pending charges, wait for few days, and if it is not gone, don't call this clown and ask for refund, but do a chargeback instead.

      100% agree, do not see why we would need to waste our time calling up. They can check their records, if they don't take care of it, credit card company can.
