A friend of mine was paying $59 for 100gb on his sim per month and $89 for WiFi at his house per month. Like many people he wants to cut back so I passed him onto this deal and he has ditched the WiFi and telstra sim and now just uses this $55 for 260gb circles service and uses hotspot at home. He's loving it so I thought might help others in similar situation. He did say that the most he ever used in a month with his old sim and WiFi service combined was around 200gb for one month so this deal suits his needs and he saves $93 a month.

I used the service for free promotion several times before and had no issue at all. Maybe you didn't cancel or port out the service on/before the last day?
Because they charge full price for the first month if you don't activate the sim at the end of the month. Last time when I signed up for $28 plan first month for $1, I was charged about $14 for the first month. After complaining to TIO I got a full refund.
