        /s

    • Just stick a 250cc sticker on it and she'll be right mate.

  • -2

    Thanks OP! Just grabbed 4.

    • pfft, only?

      • Yes, had to save remaining money to buy charging cables, shoes, adapters, toilet rolls etc.

  • +4

    BUSA BABY!

  • +6

    Extremely dangerous… Sold!

  • +2

Would not want to try lane splitting at the lights on one of these big boys

    • +3

this is the harley of sportbikes

    • That would be the R6 forte. Imho surgeons scalpel of bikes

    • I lane split on mine all the time, you do just need to pick it a bit better.

      • +1

        Username checks out
        .

      • I am gonna assume you mean lane filter. Lane splitting is illegal in every state and majority of the countries.

        • Yes, lane “filter”…

        • +1

I've heard filter and split used interchangeably so thought they were the same thing. I just goggled and it says this (Qld):
"Lane filtering is not permitted between a vehicle and a kerb, in a bicycle lane, or in a school zone during school hours. Lane splitting, when a motorcyclist travels at a high speed between moving traffic, is illegal."
It seems obvious that 'speeding' between moving cars would be illegal.

    • Used to do it on a blackbird..

  • +9

Is this suitable as a high yield investment? Asking for a friend.

    • +5

Yes, the yield is the hospital visits.

  • anyone have experience with ducati panigale v4's

    • +5

      this man has it ^^^

i like the panigale as a more focussed and expensive self death machine

      • -1

italian bikes suck. take a test ride, rattles, jerky not smooth, unreliable just looks nice in red
at everything else jap bikes shtts all over them

        • +13

The Italians manufacture spaghetti with tighter tolerances than their bikes.

        • Truth my friend.. are Eu wokes downvoting the truth Lol

    • Now that is a high yield investment vehicle.

  • +3

Oh man wanted one of these so bad when I was 20

    • +5

      you can still do it
      i believe in you

      • AI taking the long game.

      • +2

At this age, it's not about doing it but thinking of retirement, beating the inflation, staying safe etc are the top priorities 😜

    • +1

That would have been an excellent way of ensuring that you were never older than 20.

  • +2

I didnt expect them to bring it back when they announced that it was discontinued a while back due to tightening emission standards.

    It's way too chonky IMO

    • +3

One of the most memorable lines I've read describing a bike - the Busa looks like a pregnant water buffalo

  • -2

    Thx OP bought 5

    • +1

Dude time to find a better line. I give you +1 this time. But this is the last one for desperation.

  • +2

The ZX14R was going for $16500 before the pandemic when the newer models come out around September October .
Bikes also don’t sell well in winter and their always looking to get rid of last years stock .
These gen threes have been hyped up as they’re the latest model , but there will be boatload of 24’s inbound .
Ps if anyone wants a ZX12R which would keep up with the fat Busa let me know .

  • Can't wait to buy this for my first bike

  • Is it manual or auto?

    • +3

a design flaw is the lack of fixing points for a heat retaining carrier so that it can be used for food deliveries, might just have to keep on using the moped, those suzuki engineers need to have a chat to the moped business unit about design features and what makes bikes popular ….

      • Explain what's wrong with auto bikes?

    • I think they've introduced the Tesla Autopilot features now too. Just take your hands off the bars and it will ride itself.

      • Don't try that at home

  • +4

Just need this engine in a Swift

    • If the bike with this engine is 26k…..Swift with this engine could be 60k - 80K.

  • +2

That is a cr@pload of bike for the money.

    Awesome deal.

  • +3

The real bargain here is for someone on the organ transplant waitlist. Someone else spends $26k and you get a new heart, or kidney, or liver, or corneas, etc. Cracking deal really.

    • +2

Wtf are you in about ?

    • When you ride a Gen III Hayabusa everything else just looks like prey.

Yeah I saw this and it reminded me of the idiots who do 150+ while pulling monnoes on the freeway.

I’ve thought to buy a bike one day. I’ve had so much pressure from family saying how dangerous it is and how every week there are deaths on the road. I have to keep reminding them that it’s most likely (I don’t have stats) mostly the fault of the riders involved, not always, but mostly.

      I’d like a Ducati Monster.

      • +1

The "not always" bit here is where you get done even if you're riding sensibly (as I was, and copped a life-long neck injury).

      • +4

Around town it's more likely to be the fault of a car driver (at an intersection), outside town the bike rider (riding outside their limits). However, in around 50% of cases overall of bike fatalities it's the riders fault.

    • Saturday night was rough bro!! But please talk to the elephant statue and come to an agreement before posting things online 🐘🐘🗿

    • +2

Sadly true. A guy I knew in another life purchased a Hayabusa as his first bike. Wrapped himself around a tree 2 days later. This was prior to the Learner Approved Motorcycle Scheme (LAMS) being introduced. Guy had a 6 months old and had only recently been married.

      So sad.

    • +1

There's probably a bell shaped curve for speed at time of crash and eligibility for organ donation. I would imagine that falling off a hayabusa at its limit is likely going to result in extracranial injuries that preclude donation.

  • +1

    Can confirm, has Bluetooth

    • And aircon.

    • +1

      Any isofix points?

      • +1

        Just drag it behind you

  • Buying one and putting a turbo in

  • I would take 1 for my bathroom

  • You could almost buy one of those folding phones for that!

  • Isn't the Hayabusa also the deadliest motorbike as it's speed was unrivalled. I thought there was some history around Hayabusa motorbikes. Obviously not the motorbike fault but it was so much speed for the bike

  • +1

Ok, I'm officially a coward for not daring to buy this or ride this.

  • +1

    They're so ugly. Fast though

  • +1

Would love to own one, ridiculously fun, but remains the fugliest sports bike on the road.

  • -1

Thanks OP bought two for my kids. They are going to be the most popular kids at the bike rack!

  • +1

Can I convert it to electric? Need to find a home for all my eneloops.

  • Such a anime Akira bike for anime lovers, great for cosplay

  • +1

I used to ride 19 years ago and had a few mates that had one. They are still as ugly as ever.
All big sports bikes are fast, not sure why you would want an ugly looking one for a split second fasted

    • A lot of bikes are the same thing over and over again for me it's like anything, I wouldn't dislike a wine, whiskey on the bottle it comes in but the sensations it brings.

I love bikes and "Busa's in particular but how is this a bargain for the purpose of Ozbargain , ie. where else in Australia is this same model being sold for more?

Sorry guys but this just looks like a free plug for Suzuki.

    • The bargain is some ozbargainers get to dream a little .
The cost of ownership is defiantly not cheap anymore ,
Rego QLD over $500 for the year , tyres over 500 a set of which they eat up ,
and their tuned like a racebike so drink 95-98 octane like a ford falcon .

Better off with a 600 like the guy below says or the gsxr 750 ,
But they are much more comfy than smaller bikes ,
      Just eyes wide open

    • +1

Do you downvote all of the other car deals when RRP is reduced?

    • Tell that to someone that purchased one last month! 🤦‍♂️

  • I want one, can someone please buy one for me 😜

  • These things are just like yank tanks, great for traffic light GP but as soon as the windy roads hit, you’re getting smacked by 600’s.

  • Waiting for a deal on the H2 SX or even the H2 now.

  • +1

Price-wise, not too bad, other/better options are out there, just like the old Holden/Ford users.
However, if you have been wanting one, then you just go for it.
Nothing is as cheap as it once was, ozbargian fomo or buyers remorse?

It's not a bike for just anyone, yep big and has some grunt, not for me however.
I have a Ninja zx12r, in much the same class as the busa, also a powerful combo, factory speed limited however to 299 klm/hr
The only bike I choose to ride solo, as never taken the cover off the passenger seat, and never put anyone on the back, nor plan to.

  • +2

    Top quality widow maker!

    • SO that explains why the missus has bought one for me, and she can't wait for it to arrive

  • A cruiser rather than a sport bike. Great bike. Smooth. Fast.
    Heavey of course.

  • +1

Would get this if I didn’t ride a Suzuki GSXS GT. But rode a friends one last year and it is a seriously comfortable sports bike. Might have something to do with the fact that my Kawasaki ZX636R was pretty uncomfortable but oh so fun!

    • Suzuki are way more comfortable to ride than Yamaha or Kawasaki ninjas. I love my GSXR 750.

  • Great price, but this bike is really meant for longer distance rides, think going down to the Snowys or up the Oxley, a pain to ride in suburban just to get to the Old Pac or Nasho.

  • Glorified Gixxer

  • Hope this does better than the Hoover board

  • Best part is, motorbike riders generally don't need to worry too much about superannuation

  • I don't think Busa is practical, definately not for daily. I would rather pick Gixer 600 or 1000.

  • Can they make one with Karmen Rider decor?🤣🤣

  • I want wheels like batman cycle

  • The busa is one of my favourite bikes I've owned. Ridiculously fun on the twisties yet big and comfortable for longer trips.

  • Would this be a good first bike for an L plater?

    • +2

Yeah for sure, it will be the last bike as well…

  • Witness me

  • Popular post it seems.
    OZB favourite comment, bikies..

  • Didn't know so many people liked motorbikes here

  • Buy now, think later.

  • Is this legal on footpaths? I ride my push-bike on footpaths but slow down when there are pedestrians.

    • +1

Bruv, even cyclists have rights these days.

One cyclist gave me the finger cause he came out of nowhere and expected me to give him way. I stopped the car, got out and told him to come talk to me face to face but he ran away.

      • +1

Goes to show the intelligence of the cyclist…
He would've been far better off riding away! 🤣
