Similar deal to what was posted yesterday, with this being the 'For Mac' version of the deal.

This does NOT come with the Logi Bolt unifying receiver in the box, however it is still able to connect to any that you already own (works fine with Windows).

USB-C to USB-C rechargeable: Stay powered for up to 70 days on a full charge

A misleading statement if there ever was one. A phenomenal mouse (I have two) but don't expect 70 days of use.

    • +2

Agreed. I use one for about 40 hours a week (with USB dongle) and get about 4 weeks in a charge. Battery life is plenty good enough, but it's not as good as they claim.

If anyone is wondering, you can plug in the mouse and use it wired while charging if you like.

      • I usually get a bit more than a week I'm using it for like 10+ hours a day for 5 days. So it's got some heavy usage. But yeah, the battery life is still fantastic despite the not-quite-accurate advertising… and it charges super fast.

        • +1

I use it 12-14 hrs a day and I get 1-2 months, yours seems low

          • @Phesto: Might have cooked it during covid with too much work 😢

            • @KangaDrew: Agree with others. I use mine 8-10 hours a day, don't switch it off end of day and last at least 1.5-2 months consistently.
I think yours is fried @KangaDrew

              • @Mybabyburrito: Bought it at first release, so it's had a good life. I'll still get plenty from it even with the reduced capacity at least.

    • +1

Ehh obviously depends on how intense your use case is, but I've definitely had it last the 70 or close to. Working from home I would use it 5+ days a week (moderate usage), and frequently get 2 months out of it before needing to recharge.

With how quickly they charge, it's never been a nuisance for me at all

      • The USB-C charging is fantastic and very fast. And being able to use it while charging helps. I really can't fault the mouse at all, especially with all the configuration options you have for various applications.

    • Does it take battery? I find that built-in battery in mouse is really not practical as opposed to battery. Built-in battery eventually wears out and a mouse that takes battery will outlive the build-in one.

      • No.

      • the mouse will most likely turn to crap before the battery dies (click issues, coatings wearing off, mouse wheel scroll issues. This is based on G series mice, I havent had either of my MX Masters for long enough to find out if they have the same issues). I would think I'd most likely be wanting to replace this way before the battery age becomes an issue.

      • I have original mx master mice that still have functional batteries. They're about 7 years old now, maybe even 8.

        • Ive had my mx master 1 for about 7 years and the scroll has just started playing up now

          • @Dingleman: its not that hard to fix the scroll, heaps of parts available on alibaba and alot of the mouse share the same scroller part so supply is reliable and plentiful. I fixed my g9x recently and still going strong, best mouse ever

Despite the description, I’d love to know how this is ‘For Mac’.

    • +2

Mac bluetooth only, no USB dongle.

      • +1

This, and it's more in line with the Mac colour palette.

    • +6

It costs the same or more, but it's missing things. It's what Mac users are accustomed to.

      • +1

        ;) More i$ less features

      • cough cough That's 'refinement' my friend ;)

    • The standard version has an USB-A to USB-C charging cable, while this has an USB-C to USB-C which is way more useful than the dongle in my opinion. I wish I would have waited for the Mac version.

      • Particularly if you connect with desktop & no BT ;)
Logi Bolt is engineered for reliable connections, even in wireless environments congested with interference from Wi-Fi access points or surrounding wireless devices. The Logi Bolt USB receiver provides robust, drop-off-free connection up to 10m with up to 8x lower latency.
You can charge with the same USB where you plug the Logi Bolt. Simple & free of Apple marketing spin ;)
        PS.

        Bluetooth 40 days

        • If only MacBook had USB-A ports…

  • Is literally the only difference that it's white?

    • No USB dongle. Just Bluetooth for the connection.

      • So the original didn't do bluetooth?

        • +7

          it does.

I think the logic is .. these Mac users don't have USBA ports now… so default to bluetooth and we don't need to give them the dongle - it 'confuses them' (I honestly can image the mac user emails asking how to use the dongle - I'm not saying Mac users are dumb .. I'm saying all users are dumb)
… and we'll make it white and charge more.

        • Correct. Yes it has Bluetooth Slight difference in the cable also.

          *edit - misread comment

        • I have the triple OG MX Master and it has BT. I'm sure all of the ones since also have BT.

          • +1

@O15: They all have Bluetooth, but the Mac one ONLY has Bluetooth, i.e. no dongle (Logi Bolt unifying receiver)

        • It does just also has a dongle.

  • for Mac
    Operating System ‎Windows® 10, 11 or later

    lol

Is there anything other than the colour that makes this designed for Mac?

  • Looks good in white.

  • +1

Hear this one has yellowing issues.

    • They have getting dirty issues. If you clean them they look ok, but they get dirty quickly.

  • +1

God I wish it had onboard memory for mapping buttons..

    • +2

Don't waste God's time with such frivolous requests - there's more important stuff God is concerned with !

      • +1

I disagree, lemme use the buttons I'm payin for

        • Well, I want it in a non-Mac version yet I'm not praying to God for it!

  • +2

The Mac version is a scam. It's literally the same as the other one but missing the dongle. Why pay the same for less? Just buy the other one.

    • +1

costs more to use the word "mac" on the product

  • +3

Mac mice have only one button. How could this work?

    • If you are referring to Apple Magic Mouse, it can do left and right clicks. You can set up the Secondary Click in Settings.

      • +1

Steve must be turning in his grave

    • More is more.
Steve J: Less features is more $ to us ;)

    • Funnily enough, whilst it looks like one button, it presses on both sides and is also multitouch sensing pinch, swipe… so if anything Mac mice effectively have more default buttons than a standard mouse.

That said, you can’t progressively double click from a single click. You have to lift the original finger.

  • Is there a silent keyboard that will go will with this you can recommend?

  • +1

I have this white one and Do not buy white one. You can search yellowing issue!

  • I'm returning this mouse. The scrolling is jank on an M1 Macbook and there a lot of threads complaining about it, so do your research before you commit.

    • +3

What do you mean? I have the model before it (3), and the scrolling is great

      • +1

Same. I used a 3s at work with an m1 mbp and have no issues. The only thing is that Mac has built in scroll acceleration that you can't turn off. Get an app called Snooze and it will fix your Mac scrolling.

This is not a logi mouse problem, it's just Mac being stupid.

    • +1

      User error. Ask Steve J.

  • Hey I bought this earlier in the day and just went to check my order info and it shows a picture of a black one? Just wondering was OP’s link a link to the white one or black one? I forgot to check before I ordered (was after white), thanks!

    • If you click on it it should show the correct product page.

  • oooh… already have one but white looks sexy

  • The seems to have changed back the price to $127

  • Is this considered the best rated mouse for office work?

    • +1

Yes, especially if you use Excel a lot
