    This blows

    • Quite literally. I've got one but much prefer my electric powered Ozito which also sucks. This thing is so weak it's laughable.

Trying to hold out for a deal on the brushless blowers.

    • +5

      Aren't all blowers "brush"-less?

Boom tish, I'm here until Thursday, try the veal.

Got this, does ok for the money but only for very light duties. I ended up going ego instead.

    • At what price though? Ego isn't cheap!

      • +2

Sorry I should have written it clearer:

I paid whatever the old rrp was for Ryobi thought it was worth. So this price in op is definitely worth it but only if doing light duties. Not as powerful as the Ryobi 2 stroke blower I also have but a hell of a light lighter and no faffing around with 2 stroke etc

And yes ego is expensive as hell but unparalleled for power so I was more than happy to part with my dollars as I needed some stronger power for some applications.

Blowing a few leaves off of the footpath and into the gutter?

          • @serpserpserp: I just use it to blow the grass clippings into a pile then sweep up

            • +3

@Jimothy Wongingtons: They have this thing called a grass catcher you can put on your lawn mower to do that. Check your lawn mower box, maybe you didn't see it in there?

I rate this one, does the job, obviously where the leaves etc are wet it isn’t amazing, but generally speaking will cover most yards well

My $99 one with 5A batt years ago is still going strong XD

    • I own 4 of that kit, brilliant warranty to. i have had three die and 1 battery die..all replaced as returned whole kits with new skin and new 6ah battery and awesome top model charger per kit.. this is because the kits only being 4ah now …I got two at 99 and two at 109.. now it's even higher priced with less ah battery… inflation

    • Same. I bought an Ozito 5A kit (was on sale for $70 and just wanted the battery) and it’s asthmatic in comparison.

    • Yes, I also picked up that kit at the time too….
I use it for my garage and I find it works great.

    • Same here.

  • If you only need smaller yards/light duty then this works a treat.
The battery and charger are $100 by themselves so at $125 it's a good deal (although aftermarket batteries are considerably cheaper)

    • What are some reliable aftermarket batteries?

      • What are some reliable aftermarket batteries?

No idea, I'm still using the ones that came with the kit from years and years ago. But when they give up, I'll try some and find out.

  • Picked one kit up from Taylors Lakes - still had 6 or so left in stock.

  • Will this be okay to blow grass clippings from a whipper snipper back onto grass to mow?

Would it clean a patio area of dirt?

    • Yes and Yes.

      • and it only has a run time of 17.6 minutes on a 4Ah battery

        • Yep, works fine for my small garden and path but if you have a larger area to blow you might want another battery

    Purchased, thanks OP!

  • Any good for blowing a car dry, or not powerful enough?

    • +1

I don't have this one, but I've got the 18V Makita and it's not powerful enough for the car.
I'm guessing this would be similar.

I use mine for the tiny back yard (leaves) and cleaning my workbench and garage out.

    • I own two of these blowers, each employed in one hand. They perform acceptably if used for drying - they're adequate, but not extraordinary. Honestly, I find a brisk drive around the block more effective for the initial drying.

However, these two blowers truly shine when I open all four car doors and use them to blast away the dirt from my carpets, or in my case, the rubber mats (even easier to blast the dirt). This process simplifies the final vacuuming task considerably, as it removes most of the loose dirt.

      • Where does all the dirt go? Up onto your car seats?

        • I wondered this myself, much would go out the door but you'd think this is a quick way to get dusty seats and dash?

      • +1

we have 2 doors for our kitchen, never sweep it just blow it out lol

      • Look for the dust on the car ceiling/seats and everywhere else.

  • This ($125) vs Ozito PXC 18V Cordless Blower Kit ($81)?

    • Would like to know this too. I already have the Ozito and wants to know if this is an upgrade or not.

  • +2

Will grab one after work, thanks OP!
Now if only they dropped their price for their pole pruner..

    • That pole pruner is honestly a lifesaver and now that it's oil-free it's even better. Wish mine was oil-free.

      • +2

How annoying is the oil? I have the saw, and oil leaks if you don't open the knob, so always leave a little in there when using it.

        • +1

We just stuff some of that blue cloth where the blade goes into the plastic to stop the oil going everywhere and also keep it upright.

          • +1

@neo: Thanks for the tips, I should keep it upright.

        • I use olive oil for it. Organic.

      • Yeah I saw the oil-free version and I was tempted to pull the trigger, glad to hear there's good feedback too!

  • Come on line trimmer!!!!!

Warning - Bought this a few weeks ago and had to return it. This thing has very little power. It's good for a workshop area and blowing dust etc. But for anything else it's going to struggle. If the ground is wet or damp and grass is stuck to it, this unit will not blow the grass off the ground.

    • Removed from the cart, Thank you!

Got the 2 in 1 with this and the whipper snipper on clearance for $125, this literally has been used once after seeing how weak it was. Not worth the sale price.

  • I own two of these and can strongly recommend the second purchase of a blower, I enjoy the double the power from one in each arm and also enhances the ability to steer the airflow more precisely

    • Really? Would one be powerful enough to blow leaves out of a gutter

    • Akimbo Ryobis.
      I love it.

  • Had the Blower 4.0Ah Kit for a few yrs, i find it great for clean ups after mowing the lawn, also blow dry the car wheels after a detail wash …

  • This or the jet blower and 2.0AH battery for $149 if I already have a few 4.0AH batteries and wouldn’t mind a smaller battery to use with the smaller tools?

    https://www.bunnings.com.au/ryobi-18v-one-250cfm-2-0ah-jet-b…

    • I also want to know. Thanks.

      • +1

        Jet blower better for:
        Drying your car,
        Rapid cooling your PC,
        Blowing dry loose stuff everywhere.

        Garden blower better for:
        Drying your car rims,
        Cleaning your keyboard,
Blowing one wet leaf at a time in a straight line across the driveway.

  • I just bought this at full price 1.5 weeks ago. Do they have a policy of giving you a refund if the item you just bought goes on sale like some other places do? :(

    • +3

buy a new one , take new one back with old receipt for refund. done.

  • Second battery would be good.. find mine runs out 1/2 way through the front yard.

  • +1

Was going to get skin, but got the full package, thanks OP.

  • +2

The deal finishes today for anyone on the fence.

Last night I saw a guy with 4 of these in his trolley at the checkout

Sounds like you were blown away by that sight

Thanks op. Picked one up. If it's no good I'll just return it.
