It makes me unreasonably mad that the red one never goes on sale.

I dont need a new mouse. But i want the red one

    • Haha yeah me too. Currently got the pink and white one. I saw the red body/shell on AliExpress for like $90 and was kinda tempted but nahhh!

    • Same. And I have the white one lol

  • can anyone comment on this mouse for office use? i'm getting a mouse for the missus for her birthday. the mx master 3s is out of the question as she has smol hands. i'm assuming it's ok because it's used for playing games for hours on end every day.

I had a MX Master 3 for work and got the G Pro for gaming. Ended up switching to the G Pro for work too since it was just less effort. The G Pro is slightly heavier than the Superlight. Assuming she doesn't use all the extra buttons/side scroll than the switch should be fine.

They basically use all the same hardware internally, the differences are surface level, basically hedge your decision on how many hot keys she needs on her mouse and if a side scroll wheel is of any use.

How so? They all have different switches, sensors, different click implementations, wireless implementations, etc.

        • -1

From all the research I have done they use the same switches, sensor(hero) and wireless communication method.

          • @doobey1231:

            same switches, sensor(hero)

Sorry I'm not sure which mice you (we?) are comparing. If they were the mx master 3 and the gpx superlight then this is not true

      • +1

They could not be more different. One is a high performance gaming mouse while the other is a productivity mouse.

Different switches (G1 Omron vs "quiet"), different sensors (Hero 25k 1000hz vs Darkfield 8k 125hz), different wireless implementation (Lightspeed vs unnamed) resulting in higher click latency (+10ms) and movement latency (+15ms).

        https://www.rtings.com/mouse/tools/compare/logitech-mx-maste…

Also vastly different weight (58g with cover removed vs 141g) and feet (virgin PTFE vs black PTFE).

I'd recommend the MX Anywhere for office use, I use one as a daily driver and it's great for small hands. A lot more affordable than this also, which is a bit overkill for that.

It works great and runs for days if not weeks in between charges. Only issue I find is occasionally the double click doesn't work.

    • thanks for the replies!

    • For office use, it's just a regular 5 button mouse. The extra $100 you pay makes it very responsive and lightweight with long battery life (probably a month at 500hz). It's much easier to make tiny adjustments with this kind of mouse compared to a 140g 125hz office mouse. You want to use a mousepad as the feet are PTFE.

The shape made it the most popular mouse among pro FPS players by a large margin, despite no longer having the very best technology. However if her hand is shorter than 17cm long, it will probably be too big.

  • Just get the ajazz aj199
Mouse nowadays are better in every way

Logitech reaaaally need to re-release this with USB-C, imo.

I sold my Superlight and upgraded/swapped for a Pulsar X2 (medium).

An updated version is rumoured to have 2000Hz polling rate and usb-c. I also think it's consistent with the discounts the current gpx superlight is getting

  • It seems like there is no dedicated dpi button and ghub is a pain to configure. Other people also complain about the flimsy wheel. Any thoughts on how this affects fps games?

  • I already have a AJAZZ199, there any reason to get the Gpx?
I get huge fomo not having one of the big 2 (DAV3/GPX) but ive heard ajazz199 is just a gox mini with how similar they are.
    Thoughts?

Just wanted to share as someone who has returned (and re-bought) the mouse 3 times already, I have a love hate relationship with it. Everything about this mouse is great except for two things.

    1. Who uses Micro-USB in this day & age? (Logitech has partially addressed this by integrating the Micro-USB cable as an extension cable for the USB receiver making it quite convenient and in-reach for when it's needed to charge the mouse)
    2. The middle mouse click switch seems to have a design flaw that means it is prone to failure when exposed to heavy/frequent clicks. As an avid point & click game user where this button is used to pan the camera this has lead to me returning the mouse 3x in the space of a year.

To be clear, I love this mouse and I would recommend it to anyone who isn't heavy on the middle mouse click button, If you are, be warned :)

Own this mouse (in white), thoughts:
    Cons:
    * the white discolours easily (I have sweaty hands)
    * the glue holding the battery isn't strong so my mouse has a small jiggle
    * hate the micro USB but have bought one of those mouse docks from aliexpress that allows me to drop it on top to charge overnight
    * my scroll wheel is abit inconsistent

    Pros
    * do love the feel and 'lightness' of this mouse
    * I probably only need to charge it once…every 2 months?

I am tempted to get a black one at this price…but also looking at the G502X wireless

  • Black is now the same price.

    • Pink one has also price dropped to $131 (no prime)

Just got the mouse and I love it. Prefer this over MX 3s by a mile. Really light and glides well enough for me with stock skates.

    • Yeah I went from an MX Master 3 to a G Pro Wireless and it's so much nicer to use.
