Delivery coming up as $18 for me.

    Yep Delvery kills the deal

  • Which model is good for a sustained write?

    • None of them except the 860 Pro that is now discontinued

      • IKR.. what do people use now then?

        • going back to striped and raided spinning rust xD

    • +2

Certainly not this one, it has about 80MB/s sustained write speed, one of the slowest ones, and being QLC drive, the endurance is not the best.

Do you need sustained write speed or endurance?

It's $89 in their eBay store after discount

Hopefully they update the price soon.

    • They won't lol - Ebay prices don't match store prices some of the time - fees..

18 for delivery is a joke.

it will cost no more than 6-7 bucks

      Genuinely,
I do a bit of selling online and even at consumer shipping prices its a rort, this SSD can be shipped in a express post flat for $8 or even as parcel post for $10

For 1 dollar more you can get 1TB EVO from Amazon (International) -20% AUD72.76 + 15.80 delivery

    • Yep, not sure why you wouldn't go with the EVO for peace of mind.

BX500 also on sale, same price. Any major difference?

  • I know these are two different kind of products but satisfy same purpose and if I'm planning to use them as external anyway, which one you guys think would be better? this Samsung one or the following nvme Silicon power one..

For external storage I like the Samsung T7, a bit more expensive at $98 for 1tb after the coupon however it's smaller and more compact, has faster read speeds in the 1000mb/s and you don't have to buy an external case as its already usb-c -> https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/153939129179

    • m.2 + orico enclosure

      • I got m.2, but with wavelink enclosure https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B08P57RJHP?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_…
Does orico one makes much difference? I'm going to use it on imac late 2015 that has only usb 3.0, so anyway there's a bottleneck, no use of going for much faster specs..

        • +1

Nothing wrong with Wavelink, people just say Orico because it's cheap, widely available and hence the go-to.

Looks like the price has changed back to their regular price?

  • Would this be good as an external back up for my NAS?

  • Deal over? Showing $105 for me

    • Same. Showing $105. :(

  • Deal is over.
