Welcome to the ultimate guide of Xbox Game Pass subscriptions!

IMPORTANT UPDATE 26 JULY 2023:

OlduBil: "Transfers from foreign bank accounts to our bank accounts in Turkey are not possible".

  • OlduBil is no longer accepting deposits/transfers from foreign bank accounts. Please DO NOT make any transfers into OlduBil (i.e. your Türkiye Mastercard) until further notice!

  • If you already have the funds in OlduBil from a previous transfer, you are free to use it for anything. For those wanting to top up your Türkiye Mastercard, please DO NOT initiate any transfers into OlduBil from Wise or Revolut until I have a new update

  • This deal is expired and is effectively over at this point in time. Every transfer done is at your own risk!

18/07/23: OlduBil has increased their top-up fees to 9.3% (up from 6.25%) stating "Dear customer, our global operations cost increased due to high inflation rate in Turkish Lira. In order to continue the service we provide you we had to change our top-up commission to 9,3%. We appreciate your understanding and support."

Updates:

  • 26/06/23 11:40pm - Turkish Lira have crashed even more, so I've corrected all prices in this guide!
  • 26/06/23 11:40pm - Fixed the incorrect plan total amount, thanks to @6wolfy9
  • 27/06/23 1:30pm - Due to the sudden and large number of transfers from you guys, Wise is now giving a transfer date of 3rd July. Please avoid Wise if you can and go the Revolut route. I can confirm Revolut transfers are much faster within minutes (or hours at the latest). For those who have already initiated a transfer via Wise, feel free to cancel the transfer (or let it send anyway in case you want to buy cheap Turkey products and services or sign up to other cheap Turkey subs) and go to Revolut.
  • 28/06/23 1:00pm - Due to a public holiday in Turkey from 27 June to 1st July (Kurban Bayrami Holiday), all transfers are delayed until Monday 3rd July. Please keep this in mind when making a transfer. - thanks to @netsurfer
  • 03/07/23 2:00am - Edited method, I'm so sorry for making all of you pay for an extra month for no reason for the 36 months plan. Please forgive me.
  • 04/07/23 6:30pm - Microsoft must have caught on, and are blocking OlduBil Virtual cards due to security issues (good fraud prevention). This is an easy fix, and THIS DEAL IS STILL WELL AND ALIVE! Here's what you need to do:
    • Log on microsoft, then go to Contact Us. Click "Contact us" to bring up the 'Contact us' window. For the first dropdown field "What are you having trouble with", select "Subscriptions and Billing". For the second dropdown field "What's the issue", select "I need help purchasing content". For the third field "Describe your issue", man up and say something. Click "Next" > "See contact options" > "Chat online" then you'll be connected with an agent instantly. Tell them you are not able to add your credit card and ask if there's a problem on your MS account. If they ask ridiculous questions, pretend it's all working fine and start a new chat.

Credits to @Scrooge McDeal, who suggested I make a guide on this awesome ALL TIME LOW deal! And you probably know me by now - if I make a guide, best believe it's gonna be good (let me know if someone else can do it better pls). Like Netflix and Disney Plus and literally every guide I've made, I spent a chunk of money out of generosity to test the current validity of this method (I tested transfers from Wise into OlduBil) as well as annotating screenshots throughout the sign-up process (see screenshots in the instructions section). From this testing, I believe this opens a new doorway to a variety of insane deals and prices we weren't able to previously obtain. Please show some love and any comments, concerns, suggestions or feedback are welcome :)

Modern problems require modern solutions. Like Youtube, Netflix, Discord, Google One, Microsoft 365, relocating (virtually of course) to Turkey is usually the best option, with some methods saving hundreds or thousands of dollars each year added up.

The processes below are very easy, just take it slow and you'll get there! Just remember you'll be saving hundreds at the end of the day. The 14 month Xbox Game Pass Ultimate plan will cost ₺374,94 TL ($21.64 AUD, or $1.55/mth) and the 36 month Xbox Game Pass Ultimate plan will cost ₺1034,72 TL ($59.68 AUD, or $1.66/mth). Note that despite the long term 36 month plan has a higher $/mth, it works out cheaper because if you signed up to 14 months, you'll be paying almost 3 times higher if you want to extend at the end of the 14th month.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

  • No VPN required
  • You must have no current subscriptions

Part 2a - Topping up your OlduBil Virtual Turkish Mastercard with Wise (App or Web)

Wise fee: ~A$2.13, OlduBil fee: 6.25% of transfer (~A$4.35 for a ₺1200 TL transfer)

Update: 28/06/23 1:00pm - **Due to a public holiday in Turkey from 27 June to 1st July (Kurban Bayrami Holiday), all transfers are delayed until Monday 3rd July. Please keep this in mind when making a transfer.

  1. Log in or create an account on Wise. You can use the Wise website, or the Wise app on the App Store (iOS) or Play Store (Android).

  2. Top up Australian Dollars (AUD) into your Wise account (at least $30 AUD for the 14 month plan, $75 for the 36 month plan but no more than $160 because OlduBil allows a maximum deposit of ₺2750,00 TL ≈ A$160 per month). You can add Australian Dollars (AUD) into your Wise account via PayID (instant, no fee), POLi (instant, $1.18 AUD fee) or Manual Bank Transfer (business days only, no fee).

  3. Convert your Australian Dollars (AUD) to Turkish Lira (TRY). This conversion should be instant. To do this, click onto "Australian Dollar", then "Convert", then select AUD → TRY and type in the amount you wish to convert and press "continue" then "convert". Wise charges a 1.07% fee for AUD-TRY conversions.

  4. Send your newly converted Turkish Lira to your OlduBil Virtual Turkish Mastercard. To do this, click onto "Turkish Lira", then "Send", then select "Same currency". Enter the amount of Turkish Lira you wish to transfer (Note: Wise charges a ₺24.34 TL flat fee for a single transfer, so this fee will be added onto the amount you enter). Click "continue", then "New contact", then "Someone else". On this page, leave the "their email" box empty, and tick "I know their bank details". For the "Full name of the account holder" field, type in "TURK ELEKTRONIK PARA A.S." and for the "IBAN" field, type in the IBAN you wrote down in Part 1 Step 3 ~~. Continue and in the "Review transfer details" section (see screenshot), double check everything is correct and then for the "Reference for TURK" field, you must type in your OlduBil Virtual Turkish Mastercard number (without spaces). Tick the confirmation box and then "Confirm and send". This transfer will only be initiated during normal Turkey business hours and takes around 10 minutes on Wise's end. My transfer took 2 hours to land into my OlduBil account.

Note: Make sure you only transfer the amount you actually need to pay for your subscription (add a few dollars extra in case due to currency fluctuations) because due to regulations, OlduBil does not allow withdrawals unless you originally signed up with a Turkey phone number.

Part 2b - Topping up your OlduBil Virtual Turkish Mastercard with Revolut (App only)

Revolut fee: ~A$1.79, OlduBil fee: 6.25% of transfer (~A$4.35 for a ₺1200 TL transfer)

Update: 28/06/23 1:00pm - **Due to a public holiday in Turkey from 27 June to 1st July (Kurban Bayrami Holiday), all transfers are delayed until Monday 3rd July. Please keep this in mind when making a transfer.

  1. Download the Revolut app on the App Store (iOS) or Play Store (Android) if you don't already have it installed.

  2. Open the app and log in or create an account (if you don't have it already).

  3. Top up Australian Dollars (AUD) into your Revolut account (at least $30 AUD for the 14 month plan, $75 for the 36 month plan but no more than $160 because OlduBil allows a maximum deposit of ₺2750,00 TL ≈ A$160 per month). You can add Australian Dollars (AUD) into your Revolut account via a debit/credit card (instant, no fee), Apple Pay (instant, no fee), Google Pay (instant, no fee) or Manual Bank Transfer (usually instant, no fee).

  4. Convert your Australian Dollars (AUD) to Turkish Lira (TRY). This conversion should be instant. To do this, select "Australian Dollar", then "Exchange", then select AUD → TRY and type in the amount you wish to convert and press "Review order" then "Sell AUD for TRY". Revolut charges no fee for currency conversions.

  5. Send your newly converted Turkish Lira to your OlduBil Virtual Turkish Mastercard. To do this, go to the buttom tabs of the app and click onto "Transfer", then "+ New" (top right corner), then select "Send International". Scroll down and select "Türkiye" as the destination. Enter the amount of Turkish Lira you wish to transfer (Note: Revolut charges a ₺30.15 TL flat fee for a single transfer, so this fee will be added onto the amount you enter). For the transer method, select "Bank Account" (this is probably default anyway). For the Reference field, you must type in your OlduBil Virtual Turkish Mastercard number (without spaces). Click "Continue", then on the "Who to pay" page, tap "+ New" (top right corner). Select the "Business" tab. For the IBAN field, type in the IBAN you wrote down in Part 1 Step 3 ~~. For the BIC/SWIFT field, type in the BIC code you wrote down in Part 1 Step 3 ~~. For the "Company name", type in "TURK ELEKTRONIK PARA A.S." and ignore the email field. Press "Add the recipient" then on the following page, enter the VakıfBank address (the one from Part 1 Step 3) and review the transfer and estimated arrival, then send it off to Turkey :))

    HELP POINT using Aktifbank: Screenshots of the process for step 5 in the following order: (1), (2), (3), (4), (5), (6), (7), (8), (9)

HELP POINT using VakıfBank: TBC but very similar to Aktifbank (just different bank information) see above screenshots for process

Note: Make sure you only transfer the amount you actually need to pay for your subscription (add a few dollars extra in case due to currency fluctuations) because due to regulations, OlduBil does not allow withdrawals unless you originally signed up with a Turkey phone number.

Thanks…Worked very well and funds entered today in time (transfer was yesterday)

  • I wanted to do the 36 month but i accidentally bought three months of xbox live gold instead of 4 and i've already purchased a number of 1 month GP subs. If i go back and purchase anohter month of xbox gold, will that screw things up?

    • +1

Nah it shouldn't. You're just buying separate types of subscriptions and then getting rolled up into one ultimate sub at the end.

    • +1

i think if it’s not ultimate you bought it should be ok. worst that will happen is that it will just convert the 3 months gold into 1 month ultimate i believe

    • @TheFBIGuy as others said, just go back and buy the remaining 3 months. Best of luck!

  • +1

Thank you OP I've just loaded 36 months on my secondary account.

I started to freak out because I was getting a weird error message on the first step I thought I was only at three of the three month gold subscriptions but I had already purchased four and I was at the limit and I kept getting an error.

Just remember guys if you get confused just check your purchase history as you go

    • @Sammy Boi Thanks for sharing your experience haha glad it worked out! Appreciate the comment. Enjoy your GPU 😊

  • Is it ok to turn off auto renewal for the final 1 month game pass ultimate bought?

    • Does it matter if your oldubil account has no money in it three years from now?

    • There shouldn't be an issue it's just needed as you go along the actual steps. I turned it off at the end just as a force of habit and I've seen situations in the past where Microsoft has tried to charge a card that doesn't have the money and then they lock the account until it's fixed

    • +1

      @jayboi yes turn it off

      • Thanks for the reply @I Smell Pennies
Im also wondering wether there are any ways to buy Nintendo shop games/nintendo switch online with the oldubil method as there's no posts about it.

        • Someone has asked me about that. I believe there is no Turkish store or local prices for Nintendo :(

          • +1

            @I Smell Pennies: Oh alright,
Thank you so much for taking the time to make this post. It worked like a charm for me and I really appreciate it.

You may need to provide your phone number and all the transactions receipt to them in order to get it done asap. [email protected]
I got the money in the app quickly as I emailed them.
Also all the could gaming on xbox and iPad all works great! Thanks again for the great post!

    • How long did it take to process by contacting them?
Im now in a race against time to get this complete before the price increase… Eeek!

      • I transferred money to OlduBil this morning via wise. And got nervous wasn’t going to make it in time so I contract them to boost thing up and they actually did it within an hour of email each other.FYI they will keep asking for the phone number and transition invoice even though you already provided to them so I had to give them many different way eventually it worked. felt like forever but didn’t take that long.

    • @toothless toothfairy Thanks for sharing your experience! Appreciate the comment. Enjoy your GPU 😊

  • I just started the process and only sent the money to oldubil 15 minutes ago. Should I just email them immediately saying that it says they have recieved my payment but it hasnt shown up in my account?

    • +1

Their bank has received the money but they need to process it manually after that. Give then 2 hours at least.

    • Do you email australian banks if payments arent received and showing within 15 mins too?

  • +1

Hi Again @I Smell Pennies, Thank you very much for your post! I was able to buy 1 year Xbox Live Gold and 1 year Xbox for Gamepass for PC. I wanted to double check with you or anyone else, I saw that the subscription for the Live gold and the gamepass for PC is different. I mainly play on the PC and was wondering If i get the ultimate, will it combine all subscriptions and I can use those subscriptions on PC? Sorry It's my first time subscribing this long using this method and I am unaware as to how it works. Hope to hear from you guys soon! Yes, when you buy a month of Ultimate, all your existing Xbox Gold, PC & Console subscriptions will be combined into one Ultimate with their total length. I bought for use on PC too.

thank you! i was able to scroll on the comments and have verified this as well! Thanks again @I Smell Pennies!!

@Timmytime Thanks for your support! Really appreciate your comment. Your answer has been answered, so I'll leave you to it. Enjoy your GPU :)

  • How did I miss this? Shattered. I've transferred over to OlduBil now but doubt it's doing to make it in time.

Even with the higher price it's still going to be worth it.

    • Email them for a fast transaction

      • You can try, but I sent funds on 3rd July, not showing up in OlduBil account. I've emailed a few times and chatted on Insta….I doubt that they funds will arrive in time for me.

Just wanted to leave a thank you for the great write up. Followed it this morning, did oldubil and revolut at about 8am and had the funds appear by 8pm to purchase the 36 months. I deposited $70 and have about $4 left over. Followed the guide as written and not a single issue! Cheers mate

  • I've stuffed up my numbers by a measly 4 lira!

Have Xbox Live Gold at 12 months
PC Game Pass at 12 months
Xbox Game Pass at 10 months

And only 71 lira in my account, when i need 30 for one more month of game pass, and then 45 for a final month of ultimate to tie it all together.

If I just skip the 11th month for game pass and just go with ultimate to tie it all in, would that give me 35 months of ultimate? Does anyone know?

I just don't think i'll get the top up over in time at this stage.

    • Don't see why it wouldn't work that way, you'll just have one month less.

      • +1

Thanks! Confirmed it does exactly that. I'm not going to complain about 35 months, that's for sure!

  • Sorry, a question, in the past, converting more than 1 year worth of XBox Live Gold to GamePass Ultimate at 1:1 ratio worked. Has that changed? Just thought buying 3 months of XBox Live Gold is quicker than buying 3 of GamePass PC or GamePass Console.

    • +1

Unless I'm correct, you can only have a maximum of 13 months of Live Gold Pass

  • A few days ago I bought 3x 12 months Gold and converted it to 36 months Game Pass Ultimate.

  • Feel like I slept on this one and have missed the boat. Transferring via Revolut says arriving "tomorrow". Hopefully when I wake up in the morning it will have arrived in my account and I can try to get it all done before the 6th ticks over in the US (assuming their prices update on US time, otherwise I've really missed this one and wasted money transferring)

    • If you miss the deal, you can still by cheap games from Xbox Turkey.

    • +1

I sent 3 hours ago and it just came through now. There is still 2.5 hours until end of business hours in turkey. Send [email protected] an email with your phone number and the receipt from Revolut explaining that the funds haven't come through on your account. They might look at it and process it now.

    • +1

If Revolut is saying tomorrow, it'll be around 1-2pm AEST. Might be too late. Make your choice and decide if you want to cancel the transfer or not.

      • Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. I hit transfer hoping that it was just a 'worst case' timeline, but I'm thinking that I might've just given up my $75

        • Let's see what happens.

          • @I Smell Pennies: Turns out the heavens were looking out for me and for some unknown reason the entire transfer bounced back to my Revolut account! Not at a loss at all, feeling very lucky.

  • @I Smell Pennies Is it a fact that the price will increase at 7am tomorrow sydney time? Are you going off of 12am July 6 in Turkey? If so, they might still change the price a bit later based on american time.

    • +1

Hey, I honestly have no idea. It could be USA time such as 12am USA (2pm AEST).

OR it could be the region's respective time. For example, it could be 12am Turkey (7am AEST) for Turkey subscriptions, or 12am USA (2pm AEST) for USA subs etc etc

Even if it's say 2pm tomorrow, all transfers made in the past few hours will probably not make the cut for this deal. Nonetheless I'll push a new deal post out once this expires with the new prices (assuming prices are still cheap or not much of an increase).

  • Wonder which time zone the price increase will hit first…. maybe if it's US timezone we might get a few hours tomorrow here in Oz!?

    • I have a theory that the price hike hits every country at 12am in their local time. Guess we'll see if that is correct or not in 50 mins.

  • Just completed the process for 36 months. Everything worked as described. You're a legend! Enjoy a coffee on me.

    • @Oz80085 Thanks for your support! Appreciate it. Enjoy your GPU 😊

      • I think you're on track for member of the month at this rate. That means an automatic invite to Scotty's next birthday party.

        • +4

Haha, I haven't done much to deserve it. I know I won't get it anyway, as the most voted post for June is not this. As long as I'm helping this community save money, it makes me happy <3

  • Amazing guide! All came together in the end. So a big thanks from me I Smell Pennies.
Cloud gaming on android and even Samsung tv are working so I am very happy.
I have about 200,97 or so left anything worth picking up off the store, I take it you cant have more than 36 months loaded at one time?

    • @pdcm Thanks for your support! Appreciate it. Enjoy your GPU 😊

      Correct, max is 36 months.

  • -1

it wont let me use transferwise or revolut cuz im under 18 man

    • Get mum and dad to help you, but better hope Microsoft does the price rise at USA west coast time.

  • It's not letting me add more.
    Done the initial 4 x 3 months.
Then 1 x 1 month, and now it just keeps going to management.

    • +1

After you disable the auto-renew, reload the GamePass PC (or Console) page, click on the button that has the price.

      • Ahh…Didn't even notice that it was another subscription. Thanks.

        • If you follow the guide, then your target for GamePass PC is July next year, GamePass Console is June next year.
I normally open 4 tabs, 2 for the subscription status (1 for GamePass PC, 1 for GamePass Console), 2 tabs for the pages to purchase them.

          • @netsurfer: Yep…I initially thought they just kept stacking up, but we are basically joining 3 different subscriptions into 1 in the end.

  • Oh man, I got trigger happy and purchased an extra console pass, and ran out of credit for the ultimate pass.
Is anyone around to help me out, I'll transfer AUD to a Payid? (If anyone has spare TL)
    I am so gutted!

    • +4

yo, i have spare lira. DM me!!!

      • Thanks so much, utterly thankful, you are a legend!

    • +3

I also have just enough. DM me if it doesn't work out with ol mate.

      • +2

Thanks mate, Corkddd helped me out, great to know there are good guys out there! Made my day/early morning lol

      • Hi mate, Do you still have enough spare Lira?

        • yo, i still do!

  • +1

Amazing guide! Perfect timing with my 36 month membership lapsing last week. A few coffees donated on me! Thank you legend!

  • Disappointed that it looks like I’ll miss out on this (at least at this price). I transferred from Revolut to OlduBil on Sunday, but I’m still waiting on the funds to transfer. Revolut confirmed funds were successfully transferred on Monday, but still no sign.

I even managed to add the OlduBil card to my XBOX account, but sadly I’m waiting, waiting and haven’t heard back OlduBil after firing them an email with proof of transaction…. Ahh well, maybe it’ll still be a bargain tomorrow for 48 months, instead of 36. I transferred $90….

Update: OlduBil support say they don’t have it. I’m hoping that even if too late for this bargain, it’s just swift can take 5 business days that’s holding things up :/

    • Wdym 48 months instead of 36?

      • My bad. Sleepy! I meant 24. I think 36 is the max? I was going to use the extra for Spotify or top it up for the Plex deal, but now it might take the full amount to get as close to 36 as I can, once we know the new prices later today

        • @woobeforethesun doesn't have to be 24. Can be anywhere between 1 and 36 months. Basically buy 4x 3 mths Gold, then top up with game pass PC / console until you want your desired months. Then finally buy the ultimate to convert it all.

    • Same issue here ! transferred money Monday night from Revolut, nothing in OlduBil as yet. Clicking on the transaction in Revolut says money received by recipient's bank next morning….cannot escalate the issue until 5 business days is over…I'll miss out on this deal but hoping to at least not say goodbye to my money.

I just signed up for myself on my personal acc hehehee, lucky last in the few hours before we're never getting these prices ever again

    • dang I just did the stuff, wise says it'll be sent by 4pm tommorow! :(

  • hmm I really hope I am able to get it still! I don't know why I didn't do it earlier!!

  • thanks OP! all done. It took a 2nd transfer for me, because I misjudged the amount I needed to transfer. The first time I had just enough for all the 3 & 1 mth PC/Console/Gold passes, and then at the last step (the Ultimate) got a card declined because I was left with 37TRY.

Immediately did another transfer which took around 10hrs, and logged on yesterday morning and saw the MS update about blocking OlduBil and freaked out, but luckily as a saved card it went thru.

Lesson learnt is not to be such a tight OzBr to not leave some leeway for error.

    • +1

Oop, I'm hoping my transfer goes through I put in 1550 TRY cause I also plan to get ps plus deleuxe 12 months for 460 TRY,

the xbox game pass ultimate price increase seems to not have happened yet..
I'm really hoping my transfer goes through before 2pm today or something so it'll happen.

  • Still no funds showing up with Oldubil. Shame, as the prices don't seem to have been increased yet.
I've got L1200 hopefully showing up at some point….wonder how long a sub I'll be able to get when the price increases….

    • didcha use wise or revolut
