Question is whether they actually pay.

    • +1

Probably the usual excuse that you didn't follow the T&C, even though you probably did everything right

    • +6

"Offer valid until 30th June 2023 and may be withdrawn at any time by Econnex Comparison. Econnex Comparison has the right to change or alter this offer."

      This provides zero reassurances.

BXM, those are standard Terms and Conditions to give an overview of how this campaign will work.

Paid every time for switching electricity retailer every ~2 months over last 2 yearsđź‘Ť

  • Additional cost of providers in search is about the cashback amount, not a deal

$4500 for a 3kw setup by an unknown provider with trina solar panels and sungrow inverter. After cash back is it really worth 3200?

    • Exactly my thought

    • eman resu, yes, Please note that the information provided is generated by our AI system is an estimate and may vary depending on factors such as roof size, material type, number of building floors, and presence of roof shading.

These specifics will be determined upon inspection by the installer.

      • +1

And it's gonna add to the price not reduce it.

      • Will give it a try and see how I go. Is the deposit refundable if I decide not to proceed?

        • Hey eman resu, yes the deposit amount is refundable. Your refund will be procced in the Cooling off period.

You will have a 10-business-day cooling-off period, it begins on the first business day after the agreement is signed.

  • Is the $1400 loan already applied on costs generated from the search?

How are additional costs charged i.e. for 3 phase?

    • Hey Mxx, VIC :1400 $ rebate is if you continue the journey by opting "Yes" on the rebate eligibility page, 3 phase installation costs are based on the inspection.

I paid just over $4k a couple of weeks ago for a 6.6kw system installed in Brisbane from another mob FWIW.

  • I can only find 4 of the listed 7 providers on solarquotes, and apart from SolarRun, most of it looks pretty meh.

Of note is this hilarious review page for leca, including what appears to be photos of holes in ceilings.

    https://www.solarquotes.com.au/installer-review/leca/

So… at least one of the seven one might be comfortable with working with, one that you might not want to, and the rest are relative coin flips.

    • Hi Namidairo, all providers listed are CEC, NETCC approved and every provider has a specific service area, therefor you might not be able to see all of them.

Prepare to be spammed for all eternity. And they have enough data to take out a loan in your name. Not worth whatever they offer, IMHO.

Never had to provide identity documents in Deals I signed up to!

      This Deal only requires
A valid property, phone number and email address need to be provided to compare products.
You need to have the authority to modify.
And bank details for payment to you.

Never been spammed in years of using Econnex electricity retailer switch Deals. Just a follow up email & then confirmation email.

      In this Deal…
If a customer doesn’t purchase online Econnex Comparison will follow up with a courtesy call. This is 100% obligation free. If a customer does complete a purchase online Econnex Comparison may be in contact to confirm details or retrieve any missing information.

      • I get spammed once a week on one of my emails.
Must have used ecconex to compare a few years ago and spam folder has one email every week from them.

        • +1

Back then, people did complain about being spammed by Econnex.

Guess now they've changed their systems?

And may be different depending on type of offer. Many complaints relate to broadband comparison, which seems to require identity & had a data breach by 3rd party.

Surprised you've been receiving weekly spam for years, but haven't done anything about it.
          I wouldn't stand for that!

        • Hey easternculture, you can choose not to get the emails by clicking on the unsubscribe link mentioned in the footer or you can reach out to us at [email protected] stating you want your email to be put in the unsubscribe list.

  • What happens if say the quoted price isn't indicative of the true cost of installation? Would you be able to cancel and get deposit back?

    • +1

Hey fremeer, yes the deposit amount is refundable. Your refund will be procced in the Cooling off period.

You will have a 10-business-day cooling-off period, it begins on the first business day after the agreement is signed.

  • Last year i took nbn connection with more telecom through econnex and faced lots of drama with econnex to get that connection. Still i thought i will give them another chance for this solar deal now. So spoke yesterday with econmex agent for this promo. She told me she will call me back for further discussion but that never happened. Simce morning, tried to reach her few times on my own and each time i was told that either she is busy or away for lunch. Guessing things havent really improved with econnex. Pathetic customer service and sales support. Will ignore this deal.
