Fantastic travel cup for hot drinks. Had one for 2 years and by far my favourite. Other colours are available for similar price. $50-60 elsewhere in Aus. No idea what category to put it in… Wanted to pop it in alcohol for some reason…

500ml version available too https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B07MTH666G/?smid=A2K69G… thanks @VT

  • Great find OP

  • Can vouch. Have the black one for 1 year now and it's been great! Drink from it feels more comfortable and it also holds hot/cold well.

  • Got one. Thanks

Lots of reviews about it leaking

    • 2 years in on mine and never had a problem. I have put the lid on misaligned once (can be easy to do) which resulted in a leak but that was on me. Also, being Amazon, any issue like this just return…

    • Most likely from people that put the lid and bottle in the dishwasher. The dishwasher will ruin the seal on the lid due to the heat.

      • I've only ever washed mine in the dishwasher…

        • had mine for 4 or 5 years and never leaked. but i dont put it in the dishwasher.

        • Fair, I've found washing in the dishwasher will inevitably shortern the lifespan of any bottle. Most bottle manufacturers recommend hand wash only even if they say it is dishwasher safe.

    • Been using mine for a year and never leaked

  • Thanks grabbed a couple as we were just looking at these yesterday but hesitated due to cost

  • Nice one OP. I've had one for ~12 months and love it. 350ml was the perfect size for me.

I use it to take a hot coffee with me for the journey in and then cool water throughout the rest of the day.

No leaks (I carry it in the bottom of a backpack with a laptop) but the plastic lid and collar need a pretty thorough clean to remove any coffee oils.

Have just bought another one for the wife.

  • When I change the country to Japan in app settings, it asks me to sign in but then says your email id is not found. Am I missing any steps?

    • +4

Buy through the AU store. No need to change.

Dunno why you got negged for asking a genuine question. Have an upvote to counter balance.

        As all things should be.

    It saying $20 delivery fee?

  • Showing different prices for me. The cream one comes in just under $30 before postage and the other colours go up from there. YMMV.

  • Are these bare steel on the inside, or ceramic?

I've noticed that steel containers impart a really unpleasant taste to coffee.

    • +1

Actually I find it's the rubber seal that adds to an unpleasant taste when it comes to these type of containers.

      • For me, it's definitely the steel. I tried using a steel mug for a while (no seals) and it' really wrecks the taste of the coffee.

    • Yes, I was using the Mrs' T2' containers to take hot coffee to work, but it ended up tasting really weird. Not sure what it is

    • +1

The Fellow Carter travel mug has ceramic coating. A bit more expensive though

  • +3

The 500ml one, black was showing as $48 in the options in the listing, until I clicked on it, then it dropped to $33.51.

  • Do these fit in cup holders in the car? Also can you drink straight from them, or are they more a pour type?

I am currently looking for something to bring my coffee with me to work from home.

    • these are great questions that I likely should have waited on the answers to! My car's cupholders are on the small side, just fit a soft drink can. I hope the bottle i just bought will fit!

      • +2

My cup holders fit a soft drink can snuggly and the 350ml Kinto fits perfectly.

    • It fits well in a car cup holder. This is perfect for drinking straight from but a little bit slow if you pour out. The cap has 2 stage design. In the middle cap piece, there's a plastic screen to regulate the water flow which prevents coffee from spilling all over my face multiple times.

Some of My pet peeves is the squeak when sealing the middle cap piece to the bottle. Also, sometimes the bottle threads doesn't feel secured, and forced me to squeeze tighter, and the middle cap piece is so smooth, making it difficult to unscrew them.

Thanks OP! Bought one even I have a few flasks lying around already

  • For the people who have this, does it pour well in to a cup? I have a glass type one and it never "cleanly" pours as there would always be a drop or 2 that drips down the side after putting it back upright which is very annoying.

Also, what's the diameter of the opening on the inside if anybody knows?

    • +1

I just tested with mine and it pours cleanly. Not sure on the diameter as I don't have a ruler handy. It's to tell what you part you mean anyway due to the design of the cup. There are three parts to this cup.

  • Is it a terrible idea to put milky coffee in these?

    • +1

I’ve done it countless times and drink tea (no milk) out of it too. There is no coffee taste/smell/residue that stays in it.

    Where's everyone today

I’m here, but it’s tomorrow because I’m from the future

  • Is the 500ml too big? Saw that was 10% if buying 3

    • +2

500ml is not big. Depends on how much you usually drink and how you take it with you etc.
For myself, I reckon 350ml is small for me.

  • +1

    Thanks OP … grabbed a 350ml silver for $31.05

  • Link sent me to $58 ship from Amazon US.

  • Thanks OP. Grabbed 2x350 and 1x500 for approx $80. Bargain! Considering it is selling at $50 for the small one in Australia.

This 500ml style with the handle is also on sale. I prefer having a handle so got one of these instead.

  • Thanks OP. Grabbed 2 small (white) and 1 large (khaki) total 78.82 shipped.

  • Hand wash only!!

    • yeah, mine has only ever been diswashed and its going strong 2 years on…

  • I've had one for a couple of years and it's great. Just a satisfyingly well made object.

  • +1

Can't seem to get this any more, expired?

  • Has this deal finished?

  • (profanity) it's over. I waited too greedily and delved too deep.

  • Thanks just picked up 2x350ml and 3x500ml. Each one for between $29-33. Prices and stock still changing.

  • Ordered two last night and Amazon cancelled my order. Anyone else?

    • Nah, but the price is still available for the large ones, it defaults to Amazon US for like 75 bucks but if you scroll down and change it to Amazon Japan it goes back to the 30-35 bucks. Not sure what the cancellation is about though.

  • -1

    $80 for 3 mugs.
    Inflation rearing its ugly teeth

  • +1

Shows full price now, doesn't seem to work for me
