Actually a decent offering for a new model OLED with a huge 45 inch screen size…
Still a bit of newbie poster - hopefully this helps some people searching for this monstrosity.

38" LG is 3840x1600 is perfect too as it's still the same PPI as 27" 1440p. It's the increase in screen real estate that's invaluable.
Having the same pixels stretched out on a bigger screen is positively pointless. 3440x1440 at 45" is almost same pixel density as 1920x1080 at 27"—nausea inducing.
This is TV territory, not computer territory.

How deep should the desk be for putting this monster?

Please be aware, these ship on a commercial courier (usually StarTrack Express) and someone must be at the address during business hours to receive.
As a comment about the res — very much personal preference. Less pixels = higher fps for a given system, so benefit there, but for desktop office work then the pixel density is a negative vrs higher res screens. Can be a bit grainy if you have good eyes, the monitor close, and text in particular may not appear as clear relative to a smaller same res panels or same size higher res panels.
I also note OLED can have some burn in issues and not great for long periods of static images so not usually best choice for static office type work.
Picture quality is top tier and worth some trade offs. OLED is another level up for gaming - a striking difference 1st time you try one out and hard to go back. Our feedback has been positive on these with people buying them mainly for games use, but make sure you understand the limitations before buying.

Dont they have measures in place to refresh the screen and swap pixels or something every couple of mins?
Overpriced and not even the flexible implementation, which is the whole point of the technology being this size.
At this price, you're going to be far happier with the Samsung G8 and G9 series, though their 32:9 QHD 240Hz QD-OLED will probably start at or above $3000.
Is it just me or have they put the monitor up to $2599 on their EBay page, but Computer Alliance and all of their competitors have the monitor at $2399.
Why is it $200 more or their EBay store?
The lowest price I get therefore is $2599-$300 = $2299..
I think I’ll pull the trigger if anyone can advise how I get the $2099 price. 🙂
Would have been a winner except for the resolution.
My 38" LG is 3840x1600, less pixels is less useful.
