physically drag the thing to the checkout asap?
That's the way.
Looks like a two person lift…
Just get Jane or Cheetah do give you a hand.
@cornbeef: or SheHulk
@CyberMurning: Didn't think she swung that way.
You’ll need to bring someone to load it, given TV’s usually have handles on the ends you might as well march it to the checkout.
There were available for many weeks last time. ALDI has trolleys that you can use to take it to your car. Or yes two person lift.
cheers!
Does Samsung manufacture these?
No, they just run Tizen.
Interesting. Most cheap TVs seem to use Android TV these days. First time seeing Samsung OS in a non-samsung TV.
Says Samsung TV plus in the description.
That's just an app included with the Tizen OS.
Yeah, and the remote looks exactly like a samsung remote too.
The remote looks the same as my samsung remote, so does the design and feet so maybe?? That's what I was thinking…
Edit: the new samsung tv's have the stand in the middle so maybe they're clearing stock and aldi bulk purchased and rebranded them?
No.
The 70" Hisense is not too much more.
https://hisense.com.au/product/70-uhd-4k-tv-series-a6g/I bought 2 of these (Whatever the name of the 2023 model is) last week for my kids for 895 each from Betta. They are fantastic. Has VIDAA operating system and is just as quick as our LG OLED. They aren’t HDMI 2.1 but the ps5 and xb1 x look amazingly smooth on them. Very impressed for the price
That’s the real deal. Funny how some people here just assume if Aldi are selling it, it must be a bargain.
1 year warranty!
Would expect 3 or so usually, even from brands such as TCL etc.
Edit: 3 yrs with the Hisense above.A hard pass from me on that basis.
Isnt Australian warranty 1+ 2 years (as govt says)
It's what a reasonable person would think and factors such as the price paid.
I used the ACL a few years ago on a Sony TV, it had a 1yr warranty.(this was just over 3yrs after purchase). The OS call centre initially dismissed my request. I insisted talking to the team leader and said to mention the Australian Consumer Law. That triggered some action. 2 days later a tech came out, had a look and ordered some parts & fixed it a few days later.
Image quality and motion handling will be poor at this price.
BUt iT’s a SaMUnG

Just buy it and use for <60 days while you shop for your new TV. Free TV rental
I was interested so looked up dimensions.
Looks like there's a lot of issues with the TV..https://www.productreview.com.au/listings/aldi-bauhn-atv70uh…
When I bought a 60" Bauhn 5 years ago, all of the reviews were "it's a decent panel but no bells and whistles", and it seems like the issue these days are that they've tried to add all the bells and whistles, but none of that works very well.
These days with smart functionality and everything else, it's just as important that you get a TV that puts effort into all of those things too.
Maybe similar Hardware but the Operating System Sofware is different from the model you linked to.
The older model used an older version/slimmed down version of LG's OS and remote.
This newer one claims to be sporting the Open Source Tizen (Similar to what Samsung uses) I'd be interested to know if it's the same version
could be a good small TV for the bedroom.
LOL, 70'' been called small TV now a day..
Just saw one stock at ALDI in Top Ryde Shopping Centre if anyone is interested. Still selling $799.
It supprised me. I thought it will be sold out soon once the offer starts.
Whats the go with grabbing one of these? Line up early? Tag one once you get in or do you have to physically drag the thing to the checkout asap?
