  • Cheap as. Thanks.

    These deals are nuts.

    • +3

      You've lost the thread

      • Looks like the horse has bolted with these prices

  • +1

Anyone found the blow-mold case for these?

  • -1

Good deal for a grease monkey

  • +5

Got my first Sidchrome socket set as a boy. Still going strong 30 years on. Very tempted to grab another at this price!

    • +5

quality and reputation is not the same as it was 30 years ago.they were sidchrome for life back then

    • +3

Yep, got one when I got my first motorbike which was constantly needing repair. It cost a quarter what the bike cost but I had a bunch they'd last because youcannahandamanagranderspanner. Can't think of anything else I've bought that has lasted me this long.

  • Great find. Ordered one.

  • +2

Bugger, nothing near me but that's a deal!

  • Onepass saves me driving to the shops

  • I can use a set for removing my car battery. I believe both sets would do the work. Just for what if I need it one day reason, which set should I go?

    • +2

The 62 piece set would be the best all-round choice. Larger range of bits and two ratchets. 1/2" sockets are larger, more for bigger bolts/nuts.

    • More sockets the better. It's a great deal

    • You only need a small shifter for that

    • +5

Cool thanks for your obnoxious contribution… Wtf post is that?

      • +4

        There's always one…

        • +2

          "This is the way"

        • +2

@pharcyde just liking this comment for the username

          • +1

@anawth: "Yeah, uh huh, you know what time is it? (Drop)"

    • +1

Sry to break it to you, but this set is far superior to the Stanley one. Enjoy your tools tho.

      • +1

I have Stanley and Sidchrome sets and the 12 point sockets are identical. Given that they're made by the same company, the sockets probably are the same.

  • +10

I bought both sets not sure if I need them but a great deal. Thanks

  • +4

Shame they don't come with a case!

Otherwise i would be all over it

    • +1

Yup, I’m the same. Without one I’d lose pieces in no time, especially the 10mm socket….

      • +3

It comes with foam/similar thought right? So it can sit in a drawer?

        • +1

Foam mat yeah, but how many people have a proper tool drawer?

I can only think of mechanics would may.

            • @dtc: I only do basic car maintenance but use my sockets etc more for building/reno so need a case to store the sockets etc.

Already have a 1/2” and 3/8” set in a case. I have a 1/4” drive set in a cheap ass plastic thingy.

I would have jumped all over it for the 1/4” set if it came with a case

      • Oh, it's the case? That's why I can never find my 10mm…. Makes sense now..

        • Case or no case, the 10mm will still go missing haha

          • +1

@JimB: I put my Kincrome 10mm ratchet spanner key ring from a previous deal on a set of keys a few years back, only set of keys I ever lost

    • Yeah the second one would be perfect in a case. If it was just sockets I'd toss it on my rail but it's the small ones that I'm currently missing anyway

  • Very nice - picked up the 62 piece, and tempted to pick up an extra set as a present

  • Lots around brissy if anyone interested

  • I’m keen on a case now what are other people doing ?

  • We hit a snag!

Has this been removed from the website?

    • +1

      Still works for me

    • Still working & in stock for Vic

    • Add it to the cart that way.

    • Click the deal link instead of the individual links in the description, they are still there.

    • Had the same problem, search on Bunnings web site, then click add to cart button which works. Clicking through to the item it self gets the "hit a snag" error on the 62pc. NSW user.

  • +2

Copped both, foam inserts alone are close to that amount. Thanks OP!

  • +1

What a great find. Got the 1/2 inch metric set. Just what I needed. Thanks

  • +2

    Got both because why not.

    • +3

Same here at these prices just crazy

  • +2

Would one of each be necessary?
Would two of the second set be preferable.

    For multiple 10mm of course.

Dw: Bought both, bigger sizes on the 1/2”

    • No point getting both, just get the 62pc set and be done with it.

      • Not actually correct, but probably make sense for most people

  • Bought one of each thanks OP

  • Why are you all getting one of each? Doesn't the 62 piece of have everything?

    • +1

The smaller kit has larger/stronger drive and sockets

    • +4

No, the smaller kit stops at 22mm and has smaller rachet and doesn't have 250mm extension. When you use a 1/2 drive for bigger bolts, you'll know why you need it. The smaller 1/2 kit goes to 32mm and when you need it, a single 32mm sidchrome 1/2 socket is more than $20 on it's own.

  • Thanks OP, got the 62 pack (hopefully it will fulfilled) couldn’t get the other one “hit a snag” message csme

  • +1

Thanks OP, grabbed the 62 piece set as I needed a good 1/4 and 3/8 drive set. Amazing deal!

  • +2

Gladesville NSW has about 10 of both on the shelf, in the tool shop. Promotional item. Also the boxes are labelled 3 and 4. I wonder what items 1 and 2 are!

  • ty local suprisingly had stock of the 62 piece

  • +3

At least it's no a Video Card, SDD or notebook deal 😁😁

    • +1

      or a $1-3K video card

      • +1

        Thats it…

  • +2

yeh…nice upgrade from my toolpro sca stuff…cheers!

  • +1

    Brilliant find OP!

  • +3

Bought one of each… But why…. Why… Damn you ozbargain

    • +4

Because when you do need it, it costs an arm and a leg

  • -2

looks like they jacked up price before I could get one $150 now for the 3/8 set

    • I'm still getting the same price & still in stock for Vic

    • +1

I just managed to get one then!

    • +1

I either get snag page, or manually search to only find it back near rrp, oh well, didn't really need them

      • +1

keep trying.. prices are still the same for me

        • This seems to happen because I signed in, then my cart updates to the $150 price instead of $39.98 after that even signing out keeps the higher price

          • @menvert: Not sure whats happening, but I had my order cancelled by one store, and just managed to grab another at the same price from another store.

  • +2

Good deal. Got one of each. Just paid $15 for one 1/2 socket a few weeks ago at Bunnings..

  • +1

    Bought both, thanks.

  • +1

Bought the 62 piece for a present. Thanks OP

  • +1

Amazing deal, my DeWalt 1/4" socket spanner died recently, I think the spring that pushes the ball out to keep the sockets attached has failed. Good opportunity to refresh the range :-)

  • Bought both, thanks OP.

  • +1

    Great deal, thanks

  • +2

    Ready for pick up! Woo

    • same here just now. its a real bunnings deal steal for a change ;)

  • In stock at Geelong.
    Got both.
    Thanks op.

  • Ordered one of each thanks

  • Are these trays a standard size… Would they fit in other tool boxes? Or are the Sidchrome tool box drawers different from other brands like Kinchrome?

    I love this idea
    I don't need more tools
    I want more tools

    • -1

      Too generic to answer.
There are thousands of different size tool boxes
