This has its own app store, which in my experience doesn’t have the app I needed. NoraGO. Had to side load the same.
Just switched from firestick to apple tv the other day primarily so I could get airplay to correctly work from my iphone. If you are on the apple ecosystem, I would skip the firestick and go apple tv.

I have a smart tv. And I have a laptop that I hdmi to my non smart tvs to stream kayo, Disney, etc off chrome or edge.
Do I need this or other similar (chrome cast, Apple TV box, android tv box , etc) ?
I did get the Apple TV box through the Westpac credit card reward offer last year. Used it probably 2-3 times, far less than connecting the laptop to the tvs.

Just for streaming you can use the Apple TV and install apps and you can use remote, why connect it with your laptop and have to type it on the keyboard.
I guess if you don't have anything else to buy (to take advantage of Cashrewards) and need one now this is a good price. If you can hold out, Prime Day may not be that far away and I imagine the prices then will be really good. They were last year.
