  if they are actually changing it for you then i think its a good price, otherwise the LCD can be had for around $30 - $36 including tools from an Australian based ebay seller.

    That would be classified as out of warrant (OOW) replacement. Roughly $200 for 4 and $250 for 4S. Check apple warranty for exact prices.

      It would be $229 exact…I broke my iPhone 4s screen within a week of purchase, went to apple store @ George street Sydney as bgktmxg mentioned its OOW n gave me replacement for $229..

  You cannot have genuine LCD parts. Only apple have the genuine parts and they don't authorize any repairs via 3rd parties let alone reselling them to a retailer

  Apple will replace broken screens with a replacement handset once if it is still within warranty.

  I didn't believe it but went to Apple Chermside, was nice and explained I've had many Apple products before and got a replacement handset for free.
