So I'm expecting that when you activate it gives you a choice.

I've looked at the back of a new packaging sim, it says, activate within 12 months of purchase.

Im not sure whether it makes a differene whether they scan the top or bottom barcode. The best i got was $11 for the old packaging sim. Same as in the Offers picture.

They need to scan really long barcode to be on amaysim system to say it has been paid for.

No, they scanned the sim card barcode first. Then my personal barcode.

I've bought a pack at $6, after the nice attendent studied the offer on my phone and his stock, he overrode the price personally. But no the system was still scanning at $12. Dont know what happened there.
