My eufy floodlight pro 2k scared off three thieves/ bugglers on Sunday morning at 4am ish. Haven’t got time to show the footage to the police yet.

I am going to Bunnings to buy a couple of cheaper solar led floodlights sometime this week.

    • 3 incidents… Out of curiosity, which area?

      • +2

They said three burglars, could have all been together in the one incident (they don't often work alone).

        • My fault, misread.

It’s crazy nowadays with so many desperate people lurking around. Be safe everyone!

i bought this light for the same price in the previous sale around $170~ it works great, the build is good, the light is enough at night on camera. the downside is the subscription, we had a ring doorbell, and if you add a 2nd device, the yearly sub price increases from $50 a year to $150 a year.

Why not have two separate subscriptions?

      • i dont want to be logging in and out of the account in the app.

    • +3

It's roughly $50 subscription per year per device with a maximum charge of $150 per year (as many devices as you want).

      • possibly a stupid question.. but if i get a subscription with 2 devices at my house, and 2 devices at my parents house, would that work??

        • +2

Each address is billed seperately, so they wouldn't all fit under the $150 amount, it would be $100 for one address, and $100 for the other.

      • no that's incorrect, it's $50 for first devide and $150 for multiple, i am not sure what the cap is

        • +1

You're definitely wrong on this mate. I have only the doorbell and the Ring Flood light and I'm paying for 2 Protect basic plans of $49.95/ year on the one account. You only have to move to the $150 once you have 3 or more devices.

    • Just curious, isn't subscription only for recording? Do you get push notifications without subscriptions ?

      • +6

yes, you still can get push notification, and live viewing. just no recording.

    • OK, thanks, I won't buy this product for that reason.

      • You also get lifetime warranty on all devices, so if a camera fails years later you get a new camera.

        • I'm not sure that's true. My Ring 2 doorbell died after 1.5 years, I was told it only had a 1 year warranty and likely failed "because it was exposed to the weather". After much arguing they gave me a $50 voucher towards a replacement. If you've seen a lifetime warranty advertised somewhere please share the link!

            @ricksicksix: https://ring.com/au/en/protect-plans

For extended warranty coverage to apply to your Ring device, the device must be within its original warranty period when you subscribe to Ring Protect Plus. Once the original warranty expires, the device will be covered under Ring Protect Plus until you discontinue your subscription. Non-Ring and other third-party devices are not eligible for the extended warranty.
