The go between bridge is the worst thing in Brisbane. Even during peak traffic you save maybe 1 minute if you use it and it's about $4 to go across. Worst bridge ever.

Now if only it were free forever… Might finally help clear up some of the city traffic. Nobody takes it as-is unless they take a wrong turn - they can't be making much money from it.

    • I am the only who made the wrong turn and paid the price ! They are sneaky as there were no warning sign that if you turn you will be up for toll fees !

Last time i paid 2 tolls i didn't know only 1 was free

Off topic, but as a southerner I like the whimsy in the way Brissy names things. The go between, the jolly, the Clem 7.
These are good names for things that could otherwise be called something boring or purely functional.

  • Is this bridge named after the band the go-betweens?

Certainly is… Would've been an interesting gig :D

      • That’s so cool I just thought I was being silly thinking that they might of named the bridge after them but they actually did that’s so awesome. As he said when you start a band you’d never think that you’d have an actual bridge named afteryou.it’s nice to actually say that the Queensland government actually respected bands in the end after all though bashings and police corruption that went on in the 80s.
