Brisbane City Council is undertaking essential maintenance works to the William Jolly Bridge, between Brisbane City and South Brisbane this weekend from 11pm on Friday 26 May until 5am Monday 29 May 2023 (weather and maintenance conditions permitting). These works are required to occur over a full weekend (24/7 period) when traffic volumes are lowest, including for safety.
To complete the works as quickly and safely as possible, all William Jolly Bridge lanes will be temporarily closed to motorists. To minimise disruption to the community, tolls will be waived on the Go Between Bridge for the duration of the closure.
Road closure period:
Friday 26 May 11pm to Monday 29 May 2023 5am
Toll free period:
Friday 26 May 9pm to Monday 29 May 2023 5am
Navigating with Google Maps / Apple Maps?

Navigating with Waze?
Travel as usual as it has been setup to allow travel for free during this period (unticking the avoid toll road field is not required).
Happy travels!
The go between bridge is the worst thing in Brisbane. Even during peak traffic you save maybe 1 minute if you use it and it's about $4 to go across. Worst bridge ever.
