I am currently using a Alcatel U3 as the battery died in my Nokia 2.3.

The Alcatel U3 is 3G only.

Nothing really works on the Alcatel U3, except texts.

So, I leave the SMS page open so I can see texts.

For the love of usability; double the budget and get a Optus X or a Telstra Essential.

Or if thats too rich; their candybar phones are literally $49 new; spend the extra $11; you wont be using apps on this 'deal' anyway.
