These are great, they have Bright LED Lights so you can cut trees at night !!!

This isn’t as dumb as it may sound, clearing downed trees/branches in a storm or similar at night can be required and the light helps where surrounding lights can throw shadows onto the cutting area.

Some people like to -ve first, and think later…

I like how they also put lights on their lawn mowers for the nights I have trouble sleeping. It gives me something to do…

          and think later…

That’s giving some people credit they don’t deserve.

However, whenever I see you comment I automatically think negative thoughts, I can’t be alone in that. I don’t recall ever negging anything of yours though, dumb as I may think it is time to time.

I’ve mowed in the dark a few times with my EGO too. I just got a light bar and pods for my ride on so that can go nuts in the dark and/or fog.

Well it's dark around 5:30pm in Melbourne at the moment… The lights will come in handy.

            • @jv: 5:30 is still plenty, it gets dark before 5pm for most places in NSW coastline .

      • I think the chainsaw at night is for cutting down that big tree across the road, that blocks your view of the river.

      • How noisy are these compared with a regular petrol mower? Do they feel much lighter than a petrol mower to push?

        • Can't say for the Ego by my Ryobi 36v is much quieter than the old petrol it replaced. Maybe a tad lighter too.

        • +1

Night and day difference. No need for ear protection with electric, and you’re fine to mow at times that would be considered rude/illegal with petrol units.

Lighter too, poly deck is the way to go, steel decks are too heavy and offer no real benefit unless you know you’re throwing up rocks at rate that would be considered dangerous to everyone.

I doubt that. Power tools are not allowed in most councils late at night.

@jv: You are correct, power tools would cover this.

Good thing for me one neighbour is 100m from my shed, and the other 300m.
