Can anyone confirm whether or not regardless of EXPO / XMP, are they still compatible with each motherboard?
e.g. AMD -> XMP / EXPO
Intel -> XMP / EXPO
How does profile works?
As long as it's ddr5 ram slot, it will take any ddr5 ram regardless xmp or expo and run normally. But if you match the right duo (Amd mobo/expo ram or intel mobo/xmp ram) then you can tune/overclock the profile ideally with XMP/EXPO. If not then it will run at default profile (iirc JEDEC) at 4800MHz (not always but usually)
What does expo version mean?
I had the 5600 version of this and the headspreader is just so tall so I returned it
I couldn't fit a top mount AIO radiator plus fans combo in my case without touching the top of it
I've gone heatsinkless for the moment since I don't need to overclock to be improved with some low profile sinks
@technogear I would definitely go with an EXPO kit for AM5 since it seems to be quite sensitive when it comes to "overclocking" the RAM. Any DDR5 RAM will run fine at the standard 4800, but if you want to run at the rated speed of the RAM, go with EXPO. Most AM5 motherboards can use XMP profiles, but EXPO will give you less chance if issues and for the few extra dollars it may cost you, it will be worth it. AM5 performance benefits more than usual from higher RAM speeds.
Currently Amazon US via AU has this exact same ram with faster timings AMD expo for $241.18: https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B0BPTKD797?ref_=cm_sw_r_apan_dp…
I brought mine from Amazon back in March from Amazon US via AU (I paid $296.58) cause everyone was $350 at the time. I got hynix m die
To buy it locally, PC case gear has it for $250 + shipping: https://www.pccasegear.com/products/61120/corsair-vengeance-…

My build is
AMD Ryzen 7 7700X 4.5 GHz 8-Core Processor
Gigabyte B650 AORUS ELITE AX ATX AM5 Motherboard
Should I be going for CMH32GX5M2D6000C36 or the EXPO boy at the top https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B0BHKNK6FC ?
I'd probably go with these https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B0C1TKSDKR but I haven't looked that much into RAM
Isn't this the EXPO version? https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B0BHKNK6FC
