I found the same.
Showing at $46.80 on item but jumps up to $78 on checkout.
I contacted Lindt about this and was told to refresh my browser….Umm no same on two browsers and my phone.
Looks like Jack controls the pricing
The prices are complete BS and would need a 60% discount to compete with the Coles & WW specials for the Lindt balls - here the red balls are $78/kg, less 20% = $62.40/kg. Every second week Coles or WW has the 333g packs for $12 (half price), which is $36/kg.
It is the same with the Lindt outlet shop at Harbourtown - the prices are a joke.
The prices are insane lol. With 20% the prices drop down to ludicrous.
Impossible to understand the 'economics' of Lindt.
Selling direct to your customers should result in a cheaper price (for the same level of profit margin) because you do not have the middle man supermarket adding their markup.
But somehow the price directly from the maker is far more expensive than going to supermarket.
During the Black Friday sales I purchased Lindt gift cards at 20% off. Then used those gift cards to purchase the chocolate at an additional 20% off.
Not sure if the same can be done here but it it’s worth a shot. I enjoy these sales. There are some Lindt products you just can’t buy in store.
They have 1kg special at $46.80 but not showing on check-out…
