‘The Lower Tintara Vineyard in Blewitt Springs in McLaren Vale, which supplies grapes for this wine, was originally planted back in the 1880s. Fermentation was in older French oak followed by a further three months maturation. A gleaming yellow with shades of green, the nose gives us notes of peaches, stonefruits, figs and dried herbs. A subtle, well-crafted style with focus and direction and an appealing texture. There is a hint of nuts on the finish. Good length here. This is a wine which should provide pleasure for the next five years. 92'. Wine Pilot, August 2024.
