Highly recommended if you just want 2.1
If you don’t need excessive low excessive bass, even a 2.0 would suffice
What's the 2.0 equivalent?
Pc or tv?
S2000pro mk3 would be amazing for pc but quite large.
@onlinepred: PC.
Yeah I had a look at s2000 and did notice that many have commented on its size.
I went from the Logitech to the edifier s3000pro. I will never go back. I have bought another set of smaller edifier speakers for my shed as well.
These will smoke the Logitech for sound quality and sheer volume.
My only concern is desk space as I will be using this for my PC setup. I currently have the PC case, logitech speakers (some of them situated behind the monitors) and a 27" and 32" monitor (side by side) on my desk.
Maybe it's time for me to opt for a single UW monitor
yeah they can cause problems with space
You can also just get a bigger desk lol. I have an Ikea Kitchen Benchtop on top of the alex drawers. The only way I could get a 2.5m long desk for a good price.
@lordcidious: That's what I currently have! Though mines not quite 2.5m and I don't think I can get a bigger table as I'm sharing study room with missus
@DevlicK: Awesome! I use monitor arms to lift them up and have the speakers on their sides underneath. Seems to work a treat!
Keep in mind that the right speaker is connected to the subwoofer (i.e., all units are not independent) for both S351 & S360 from my research. If I'm wrong, pls correct me. This knowledge dissuaded me from purchasing
Made me look on the manual:
https://cdn.ventmere.com/edifier-dev/uploads/2020-02/S360DB-…
sub connects wirelessly to the speakers. Only cable to the sub is the power. Yes, the right speaker is the main active speaker, if that is your concern.
Looks like I'm wrong. Weird because I was reading other forums and watching Youtube reviews. But instead the left and right speakers are connected- which again limits its wireless use
Imo, biggest pro for s360 compared to the predecessor s350 and s351 is the upgraded planar magnetic tweeter. Edifier's planar tweeters got much more clarity, extension and resolution compared to their previous dome tweeter it is in a different league.
I'm still deciding if I need this one for $424 or will the R1855DB at $165 suffice for me… Play games and watch movies on PC… and my Behringer MS40 are starting to die.. decisions decisions…
If you're thinking about the R1855DB you can also get R1700BT/R1700BTs if it's cheaper, no real difference. Or you can also get the Edifier S2000MKIII which goes for $360-400 on sale.
Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think you can change the frequency of the sub and there is no bypass filter? There's also no independent volume dial on the sub?
Wouldnt a better option be to get the best Edifier speaker with sub output that can afford and then plug in a sub that has the aforementioned features? That would give best control over the sub and you're not locked using this product where you have to this sub and speakers together?can anyone tell me why some of the speaker set comes with fibre cover panel (R1700BT) by default and some of them (like this one) don't?
Been waiting a damn long time for the 350db to come down to it's original price. This is an upgrade that got me to pull the trigger. Cheers op
Damn it. I spent too long deciding. Should have just pulled the trigger
How do these compare to Logitech z906? I've been wanting to upgrade / move away from the 5.1 set up - it's a little much with all the cables
