Not much more to say.
Same price as previous JB Hifi deal.

best deals are in the comment~
Dang. Likely would have bought the $1079 delivered. AC doesn't deliver to W.A :(
i have wifi issue on 4 years old 65 inches, and LG refused to repair. The issue started just over 2 years of ownership.
lots of wifi disconnecting issue when you google online.
The wifi just disappeared when you use youtube for an hour, sometimes just over 30 mins, i need to unplug and re-power TV.
now i am buying chrome tv to overcome this issue.
what if you run a cable from your router direct? (or if router is far away then use Ethernet over Power )
great idea, but i am using 4g wifi tethering.
If you are using your phone's sim this might not help but if you use a different plan or can get a second sim then something like this might fix it: https://www.amazon.com.au/NETGEAR-modem-Gigabit-Ethernet-LB2…
@Geoff-bargain: correct, i am using an old phone for tethering and has cat 8.
however, this wifi issue is annoying ,everyone should be aware of before purchase, my 5 years old hisense tv has no such wifi issue.
If you are using wifi Mesh technology , then you can use one dedicated mesh router for your TV , connect TV with network cable from mesh router.
Exactly this!
My LG has been doing this for a while, and my Samsung has just started doing this. Seem like 'driver' issues.
I can also confirm that plugging in via the network cable works fine.
Recently had my house wired up (it was always the plan) and no more issues from the LG….
thanks for sharing.
is this the best deal lately ? (not counting aldi and bigw brands, but hisense tlc is fine)
Get the TCL c835 if you can find it. Imo one if the best 65" you can get for around 1100 on special.
thanks.
hmm now i have 55 so i only will upgrade to 75 not 65
Hard to find the 75" in stock, but they came down to about $1600 I think.
I have the 55" C835 in a bedroom and absolutely love it.
Not quite as good as the OLED in lounge room, but unless they're side by side you won't notice.
Need a 75" rather
@teereb
is this okay ? https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/774289
75P735
at least better than this LG maybe ? or worst.. (the light banding thing)
When you're looking at budget TVs you're just going to get these things. This is $400 less than the LG above, so yeah. Honestly can't really go wrong at this price for a 75" tv, as long as your expectations aren't that it's an OLED contrast, it mini led brightness.
For general tv it'll be fine
@teereb: ah i see now your suggestion is C model which is mini led thingie - diff. panel
recommnend hisense over tcl
Worth getting this, or paying more for an Oled?
That's a big jump in quality and price!
No simple answer to your question, you need to elaborate a bit more, like budget, room type, screen size etc.
Thats like asking if you should buy a base model VW Golf or a Golf R…
Its very much budget dependent.. If you love Picture Quality, can appreciate the difference & have the money youre happy to spend… Get OLED.
or like asking if i should upgrade my current wife to blackpink
is that really an upgrade
any reviews on this?
hmmm this worrying
The LG UQ9000 uses an IPS panel, which looks bad in a dark room, and it can't get very bright, so it isn't ideal for a bright room, either.
Peak brightness is less that 400nits and IPS - yuck
Do I need to replace my 11 year old Plasma?
Ha! I have a 2010 Panasonic 50" Plasma that is still amazing. I'd like a bigger panel, but I'm worried about going backwards unless I spend some crazy money.
Nah keep it, it'll double as a heater for winter.
Worry about a new TV in the summer lol
Lol…. I agree. Mine serves as a fireplace.
@Nickelback: Paired with this. Can't go wrong.
Yeah it's a 2010 model. Doesn't get hot and draw crazy power like the older ones.
I replaced a Panasonic ST50A recently with a LG G2 65 (via this post https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/764166) and can confirm it's a worthy upgrade.
A LG C2 or Samsung QN90B would also be a good upgrade when on discount.
I plan on keeping this one for another 10 years :D
I hope to keep it for 10 years if it lasts that long
but this deal is a different price range and can't be compared
Yeah this is what I'm saying from my above post. You need to spend some serious dollars to beat a 10 year old Plasma.
Yeah it may not be an effective upgrade buying a lower end model if you have a decent plasma, probably need to look at the mid range models for it feel like a complete upgrade.
This or Sony Bravia?
i thought sony is stop making tv.. do your research.. probably the business got sold to some chinese and they can keep the brand?
even so… they are still reputable right?
75 Sony for 1100 mark? Where
looking at 65 for 65x90k at $1400 mark
so one buying this ? reviews are so so but i just watch youtube and all my linux distros are HD or FHD only… and watch free to air sometimes for masterchef etc…also watching mostly at night as i work during the day except weekends.. maybe good enough for me ?
This is a bad TV - sorry for flogging a dead horse but I bring up my issues again: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/715109
I returned mine because the light banding was horrific.
Thanks for that! Exactly what I fear. I have a 40" TCL in the bedroom that was given to us which is edge lit and it's just terrible.
