First time post. I'm not sure about Blaupunkt but I know Officeworks are pretty decent with their returns if anything goes wrong. Best price I could find for a QLED @ 75".
Blaupunkt 75" 4K Ultra HD QLED Google TV $997 + Delivery ($0 to Metro/ OnePass/ C&C/ In-Store) @ Officeworks

In my opinion, most of the QLED panels available at this price point will be similar. I don’t believe manufacturers would create a panel specifically for Blaupunkt at this price point.
I knew it was a previously well respected brand name taken over
Which brand was it?
Since this is QLED that the screen panel is most likely made by TCL. As TCL is the global manufacturer and supplier of QLED TV panels. So it's no wonder that it's not too bad.
TCL even puts QLED panels in some of their own branded TV as they are the manufacturer of the QLED panels.
Blaupunkt 75" 4K Ultra HD QLED Google TV $997
Showing $847 for me.
You're looking at the wrong one. You are looking at the non-QLED version.
I doubt you could tell the difference when looking at them.
Probably could.
Not QLED, not 75" and not Google TV.
I didn't say it was… But it's built by Samsung, so probably better than the Blaupunkt.
Probably not.
The OS is made by Samsung, not the tv…
You have to wonder what element of QLED tech is in this TV for this price.
Some brands are being called out via lawsuits for false claims around whether their QLED TV's actually contain any Quantum Dots….

There are no standards. They are just words. Could be anything.
I would get TCL 655.
Known brand with firmware updates. Around $1200 JB.Are they same/similar to the TVSN offerings?
https://www.itvsn.com.au/category/52002/A/60/1/52136,52002You get what you pay for. If anything needs upscaling the displayed picture and motion will be awful at this price point and size! If price is an issue for the better models, less "s helps.
Correct …
This is an excellent 4K panel with no propriety processing.
So if all you watch is slow moving 4k content, this will be perfect.
If you are watching upscaled 1080 sports…this will be a dog's breakfast…vommited ..and eaten again..
A DB with V…
What if I’m using a nvidia shield to handle the upscaling, would that work around this shortcoming?
I can barely find listings for this model of tv or even a more generic search of “blaupunkt 75” 4K qled” so based on that I will avoid it.
Yes. I searched for BP750USG98 on the Blaupunkt web site itself which came up with 0 results. None at the TV section on the site show this model either. Searching for BP750USG98 in Google too only shows the product at Officeworks and this Ozbargain thread and nothing else in the entire world. It seems that the only place in the world which is selling this model is Officeworks. And the manufacturer doesn't even have it listed. It must be an exclusive model made only for Officeworks.
Probably better to buy the extended warranty if you buy this TV.
I got the BP750USG9300 from JB as part of this previous deal (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/711354) and given I knew it was a previously well respected brand name taken over by an OEM, I expected it to be mediocre at best. But it's been fairly good, with decent quality sound and picture. I was going to get a soundbar, but for general TV watching, it's been ok with just the built-in speakers.
Might go and check this out and upgrade the living room TV, and put the older version in the back room.
Thanks OP!
