    UK. Uurrggghh

    Uk has different bands.

  • Get AU or US version, much better wifi signals. UK version has weakened wifi strength.

    • Does the Deco X55 UK version also have a weakened wifi signal? Cos it's significantly cheaper compared to the AU version?

If you're paying this much for a gimped high end set of mesh routers, then you might as well spend a little less on a ungimped mid range mesh routers.

    • What can you recommend instead? I was looking out for these.

  • The AU version on ebay at W1 is around $735 using YIPPEE10 & E1SSAVE5

But as usual ASUS is busy flogging over-priced old stock here in Oz (they've been pushing their Amazon UK stock hard on AU Amazon) The XT9 had been out in UK & US for nearly a year. It's ~$100 cheaper then our XT8, and their XT8 is $150 cheaper again.

  • UK version doesnt have as much bandwidth as the Aus version.

  • For this price you should get the TP-link deco X95 units. Faster, much bigger range, and AU standards.

  • Take this price to your local officeworks and tell them Amazon is selling at this price. I was fortunate enough to get the to pricematch it last year.

    • I've tried both my local store and the 1300# and both refused to match/beat unfortunately :(

      • I went and tired this at my local officeworks. They price matched the $650 + 5% price beat. Came down to a total of $627.50.

  • I had no idea UK routers have weaker signal. I was thinking of getting the Deco X55 on Amazon UK, is there any difference compared to the AU version?

    • Buy AU version

      • Is that the reason why the UK version is significantly cheaper?

        • +1

Not the reason. But a reason not to buy UK routers.

Does anyone have a source that explains this for either all Asus routers specifically or all brands sold in the UK?

(also looking at the Deco devices on amazon)

Has anyone had any luck in obtaining a price match? Desperate to purchase as out ISP supplied router died a grisly death last night.

    • The price has gone up to $656.13 on Amazon now. I took this to OW in Taren Point NSW and at first the worker agreed to price beat the $656.13. When I was just about to pay, he came back and said he had to double check with his manager because it was UK stock and his manager actually said no. By then, the cashier had already scanned the Back to School vouchers I used to put towards the purchase. The worker said he would get in a lot of shit for approving this if it goes through, he was a young lad and I felt bad for him so when he offered to price beat it at $700, I agreed. This made the purchase $665, which according 3camels is only $16 more than the 2021 all time low.

Tl:dr - went to OW to price beat Amazon, originally said yes but then manager said no. Because they had already scanned Back to School vouchers they compromised and said they would price beat it at $700 resulting in the final price of $665 before using Back to School vouchers
