Delivery time way way better than Aliexpress.

    • for now

    • +6

In general yes though the last thing I had ordered from Aliexpress was delivered in less than a week.

      • +3

Auspost seems faster in general now that ecommerce has slowed down.

      • +1

Mine took about a week, but definitely quicker than my items from eBay (located in Hong Kong)

        • One of the main reasons I have now stopped using eBay altogether. Even purchases from local sellers took over a week to arrive sometimes. Madness!!

  • +1

I bought a mini electric cooker, came relatively quickly, great price for it would shop again.

Hope they expand their range though, bit lacking atm compared to AliExpress.

    • like an induction cooker?

    • Does the power cable come in Australian connector?

      • +1

Yup, it's just a C13 cable too so can always replace easily.

  • +3

This site has just exploded overnight

    • +15

I've noticed an incredibly aggressive mobile ad campaign for it, and have thus been ignoring it 😅

      • +1

Its also just blowing up because they have a referral = free items/credit thing going on.
Annoying as (profanity) honestly. Basically just people spamming social media with comments and videos to try and get people to use their code on sign up.

      • I naturally assumed it was a scam.
Now that its on ozbargain I will have to reassess

        • Outlander, I ordered some products from Temu. Their communication was very aggressive and kept on telling me the tracking path. I received all the products some 10 days later thro Auspost. They even promised to give me a $5.00 credit if there was one day delay. But beware of the proposed bundle of discounts given after your purchase. It was a bit misleading as one has to purchase and use the discount for the next buy one or two days after the date of their despatch but before receiving the goods while one still has doubt on their trustworthy for delivery and quality of their products) . This is a shame..

    • Yeah seen heaps of advertising for this site, wasn't sure how trustworthy the site was

      • Just received my order today within 5 days of ordering

        • what did you order

    • +6

Taking the shien approach of having a decent looking storefront but is just another aliexpress.

  • Any issues due to spyware on the app?

    • +3

A cool idea would be to not use the app.

      • Expect them to start running promos exclusively for app users.

  • Sorry, Only new users can get this coupon. :(

  • +4

Does anyone else get Wish vibes?

    • +10

Nah you actually get the correct stuff you order

    • Ordered at least 5 times and have not had any problems. Refunds and returns (due to duplicates or wrong size) are painless.

  • Saw many youtube videos negging this site, so it's actually better?

    • Probably those tubers got paid by ali and ebay

  • Hopefully they can get some of the more popular watch brands on these soon and can stack crazy discounts

    more land fill from china

  • +1

The ads are all over my socials.
    Is this real?

I saw a land fill claw machine for $5 being advertised

    • I ordered the Lenovo bone-conducting headphones for $2.99 and they came less than a week later, as advertised. Ordered 3 more, not at introductory price, sadly.

      • The one for $2.99 is not bone conduction.
I remember seeing it and it was in the title but if you toggle between the different options, bone conduction was more expensive

        • The ones i have have no speaker, cannot be heard if you hold them up to your ear - only when you put them on does the sound come through, and quite loud. Sounds like bone-conducting to me.
From a tech review site - "3 Sept 2022 — Lenovo Thinkplus X3 pro, True bone conduction earphones with BT5.3, 140mah battery with +7 hours, affordable price and good sound."

    • +1

I got the claw machine for $4.49 on promo (the $30 normal price one). Just received yesterday after about a week. The kids loves it. They even said this means they don't have to ask to play those money draining claw machines in shopping centres anymore.

  • Have about $300 in my shopping cart, guess it's time to pull the trigger.

There's no way I'd install Temu on any of my devices.

Temu is owned by PDD Holdings. PDD Holdings - owner of Pinduoduo (the Chinese version of Temu).

The very same Pinduoduo blocked by Google because they were installing actual (profanity) malware onto people's phones - https://krebsonsecurity.com/2023/03/google-suspends-chinese-…

    .. like, two months ago.

No thanks. This cheap shit and spamming of socials is to get more suckers to install their stuff and have their activity monitored.

    • -3

who doesn't install china commerce apps only on their burner phones ? LOL

      • +1

why the downvotes? He's right. For the price of a $30 el cheap supermarket phone you can have physical isolation from the device that manages your whole life

        • +1

Insert <why are you booing me, I'm right> Meme

    • Implying we have any real control over how much we're monitored anyway.. I'll take my chances

    • You can shop through Temu Website tho I myself haven't used their app yet but Temu should have passed play protect and surely it should have been strictly checked cuz of their recent popularity otherwise it wouldn't been banned sooner.

From what I see, many Chinese apps are not allowed on Playstore. I think some of them don't want to pay for Google and some don't follow this and that rules etc. Likewise some open source apps are found on GitHub or their official pages only.

Temu targets US then now AU while Ali is more of worldwisely. Similar to Amazon, they started with Temu US followed by Temu AU. I also heard they just started their warehouse or HQ or something in Australia. Wiki says Temu has also been launched in New Zealand, France, Italy, Germany, Netherlands, Spain and the UK.

Temu is to do business and to compete with local retailers not to spam people lol

    • Looks like you don't have a PC, do you?

  • +2

I've seen Temu everywhere on Youtube, their advertising budget must be yuge! Can't vouch on the quality of products tho

I had 50% for $50 spend a couple weeks ago.

    • +1

Do you have Ozbargain link for that?

      • I just went to their website page and there was a spinwheel. The offer is probably gone now

        • The spin wheel requires app install? Trying to avoid random app install. Thanks

    • +1

Same here. Very limited range compared to aliexpress and ebay. Havent received any of my items yet.

      • True, I just got lots of car cleaning products and bunch of other stuff. Received it in 1 week. Even got my 3 freebies from the referrals.

  • +2

Lot of spam messages in the app so I have uninstalled after my first order. Delivery within a week is a plus. Limited product selection and dozens of misleading game notifications.

    • +4

Just switch off notifications for that app.

  • will it be okay to create new account with same name and address ? (credit card is fine i have revolut).

    • +1

yeah, It's what i did. diff email address.

  • +1

$30 min order, bummer. Only want a few small things for my cat, don't want to look for more random junk just to fill the min order…

  • Ok placed my order on the April 24th and received it on May 2nd. Not too bad.

The only challenge is that the bag they sent it in was a bit torn, and a few of the earrings I ordered appears to have fallen out or was not included. Also one of the plastic items I ordered was cracked given no box / padding on it..

It looks like returns you can do automatically, but missing items you have to chat with customer service. So I logged on and I am in the Queue position 633 ouch.. its been about 10min and has only went down by 3. I will try and keep the laptop on to see how long this takes

A great deal, but the watchout, is the lack of customer service support with any issues…

    • Yeah for me chat queue 300ish, 1 hour later down to 200, then i disn check and then my turn but they didnt read yg previous message just keep asking are you there… then close the chat… oh well..

      • I got very lucky.. I think I woke up about 6 or 7am in the morning.. and they were on their 2nd reply to see if I was there.. so random that I got to spoke to them.

At least once I did it seemed pretty easy to get the issues resolved..

  • I have spent a few honeyed dollars on items that I wouldn't have bought normally lol
Fairly quick delivery compared to ebay and Ali.

  • +1

    I was targeted for $25 off $50.

  • Thanks OP, great discount although not everything on my Aliexpress/Amazon wishlist was available on Temu

  • +3

    Pro tip.
Once you receive (or maybe can before, forgot to check) go to price matching/adjustment. Sometimes you get lucky and get auto refund couple dollars from total order.

Or if anything damage just claim refund/return, upload photos, and in my case its auto approved, no need to return the item and full refund.

    • I'm a new user. How do I get $25 off $50, are there any codes available to enter? I could not see the spinning wheel in the app

  • +1

I ordered a bunch of goods over $30.00 and got free shipping, on 2.5.23. Track said the goods are now at airport waiting for delivery. They gave me a bundle of coupons over $50.00 ( 3 of them , but only one can be used. The problem is I have to utilise them between 1.5- 2.5.23. As I still have not received my first order, and have no confidence over their goods, No action has been taken for the coupons.

    • +1

just use the coupon you will get your items on time

  • Aren't they just a shittier WISH?

    • no. they are a muccccccccccccccch better WISH
actually we shouldnt mention wish at all. .they are scammers

      • A new one of these "mushroom" companies grows out of rotting timber every month. I think I'll wait till there's ozbargain reviews before I dive in on their cheap crap.

        • +1

          There are already ozbargain reviews….

          • -4

@altomic: And they're not that great. Poor quality. Long shipping delays. Some people lucked out while others didn't. I don't want to join the latter.

            • @Jaxy: Can show me the review which include long shipping delays?

              • +1

@altomic: Yeah that is the opposite, very fast indeed.
And 1 day late they give $5.
My packages has express post label onit.

How they can afford international free express shipping??

  • +1

just used it on an order. thanks for posting OP.
