Do you have an approximate eta on these purchases?

    • +1

Ongoing lack of any even vague indication of an eta now puts me into "issues with business" territory.

    • Their eta when available is rubbish anyway

    • +3

You asked within minutes of posting (~5 hours ago). OP was online ~3 hours ago. Should be fairly straight forward answer within 2 hours.

I suggest it either be posted for when builds will be ready or ban these types of posts

      • or if its 'preorder' haha but nah that wont happen

    • -2

Please go to the link below & select 'Build & Shipping Times', near the bottom of the page.
Sellers has a challenging business processes & is clearly reflected in the OzBargain comments: read complaints against BPC in the last 2 months.
I ordered a TechFast deal on 22-Feb-23 & my experience is positive & in-contrast to the complaints noted against them, apology for any offence.

      • Our current estimated time from order placed to dispatch is approximately 14 business days (Monday to Friday)

That's not current info, and even if it was, they could say that here in 30 seconds. I wasn't previously saying there was anything wrong with the company, necessarily. The fact they can say 1,2 or 3 months however does indicate something is wrong with the company.

        • The quote noted above is just TechFast time needed to process orders.
On top of that, EXTRA-time is needed for Australian Post delivery, eg 'TAS - AusPost Parcel Post: 5-7 business days'.
May be read all the fine prints?

  • +17

What's the wait time? General vibe from last deal was a month or more. Folks interested deserve to know

  • +15

I think ETA for delivery should be mandatory on gaming PC deals

    • +1

How do we democratically make this happen? I think it’s a very reasonable requirement for those promoting their PC deals here, given the experiences of the community.

      • perhaps it could be mandatory for posts made by those associated with the supplier?

  • +3

Graphics card section on the site mentions 4070ti in the text, but the correct option of a 4070

    Tempting deal honestly

    • +1

Would be nice if there was a Ti option

      • +1 Would be interested in a ti option as well

  • +1

No point waiting a month for delivery. The next competitor will just undercut the price after a few days.

  • $1548 in link?

    • +3

There's a discount code to use

  • +2

Ya'll have it so good now. I remember buying a 3060 non-ti at the height of gpu costs for $1270. Let's hope affordable gaming is here to stay. Thanks Luke!

    • A 4070 is far from the days of a fairly priced GPU. This system should be sub 1k but nvidia needs their record profits.

  • +2

Can we have full specs please? What mobo? Ram? PSU and GPU exactly? And yes it says Ti in one section and normal 4070 in the other

    • +2

You can ask but you wont get them, and if you do, it will be an option of typically 3 or 4.
This is why this system is good for some but not most people who are informed.

  • +2

    Waiting for a 4080 build ☺

    • If its taking that long to ship, the GPU prices might have fallen by then.

  • +1

    any 4080 deals coming?

  • +10

in an alternate reality where there wasnt so much bad press surrounding techfast and their lead times on PC builds, i would have genuinely bought this. those excessive waits and poor transparency are seriously hurting your brand.

    • Agreed with this. The price is great but lack of transparency around times have made this group low on list.

  • +7

ETA on delivery is the only thing keeping me away from buying this

  • How does this compare to the deal the other day for 5500-3060ti? I have a 13 year old who wants a PC to play fortnite, call of duty, etc but I really have no idea. Is rather pay $900ish but he says the CPU would need upgrading. Any info/tips would be appreciated.

    • +1

All of those esports-type games (Fortnite, Call of Duty, Overwatch, Valorant, LoL, etc) tend to be quite reasonable as far as hardware requirements go. The 5500/3060ti would be more than enough. My son plays some of them on our 4th gen i5 with gtx 1070 no problem.

      • Fortnite since Chapter 4 was released (December 2022) is very intensive. My i3 13th gen, 6900 xt system chugs in it sometimes and RT isn't on and I've turned down some of the detail options. Of course you could play on low detail, low resolution etc but it's not as enjoyable.

    • +1

The 5500-3060ti would be a great computer for a 13 year old. My 3600x and 5700xt has not had any issues gaming on a 2k monitor with more intensive games. Just make sure it has enough storage as CoD will fill a SSD up pretty quickly.

    • but he says the CPU would need upgrading.

Nah, it's perfectly fine/more than enough for the games he's playing. A more powerful GPU down the track if he starts with more intensive titles? Even then, probably not. But CPU will be fine, it's not a potato by any means.

    • +1

lol my kid plays fortnite on a 3440x1440 monitor (considerably higher than 1080p HD) with an i5-4570! (9 year old CPU).. he runs a GTX1070ti it smashes fortnite.

    • Aim for CPU with the grunt of a R5 5600 as minimum & it's likely that a R5 5500 will limit your system.

Definitely need an ETA, I don't mind a few weeks but if it exceeds 1 month I'm out

    • +2

From past experience. It's about 4 to 6 weeks. I received it after about 5 weeks.

      • Yea sounds like a mixed bag, first come first served basis. They probably don't want to provide an ETA so they don't get backlash if they don't meet it.

  • benefit of the 4070 low power usage means that most brands cooling will be ok.
Must have a shitload of Sata SSD's to clear as NVME is now pretty much at price parity.

  • should i get this or wait for another company have something similar?

  • Hey can you post this deal on your Amazon store? I am ready to buy now and have a voucher to use, thanks.

  • +3

I bought the recent 4070ti deal from them.

Took exactly 3 weeks from date of order.

    That's with local pickup though

    • +1

I ordered the recent 4070ti deal from them too on 15/04/23 and it got shipped out today 28/04/23, so that's under 2 weeks.

  • +1

the silence seems telling. the people want etas !

  • -1

Hoping to see an intel build

  • -1

Yeah, seems no deal waiting for the build and competitors beating it in coming weeks

  • +1

when i purchased from the last deal, took about a week to come out, 3 or 4 days to build then delivery was within a day or two pretty quick! But yea it could be different this time im not sure

  • +1

    Hi all,
Just to address the questions surrounding ETAs. We advertise an estimated 14 business day lead time before dispatch. It will be advertised in the "Build and shipping times" tab at the bottom of the build screen, and these are categorised as custom PCs. Once dispatched, the shipping timeframes will apply depending on which state or territory you are located in.

To check out the shipping times, you can use this link. We ship from SA, so just check that against whichever state you are in. https://auspost.com.au/service-updates/domestic-delivery-tim…

    Cheers,

  • I purchased my ryzen 5500 + rx 6700xt+ 16gb ram etc
    from this deal
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/761042

the link is still live and the code still works if anybody would like to order this instead?

I sadly missed the delivery from auspost but just picked it up from the post office in the past day,

set it up now and it's running fine by the looks of it!

    shipped my gpu seperate

I don't know what this a320m motherboard is tho seems to be some oem part?

    along with a gigabyte 650w bronze p650b
and the gpu is 6700XT gigabyte EAGLE so thats pretty good i think

    ALLIED MBA320 Default string Ver:1.21

and american megatrends bios or something?

I was trying to enable Smart access memory but can't seem to find the option

my ram timing might not be at the best settings aswell?

but nonetheless I ordered it March 31st and it would've arrived Fri 21st

so about 20ish days from Adelaide to Metro Melbourne not bad!

  • do all these computers come fully built already?

  • Bought a PC end of Jan, arrived March. Its now no longer working, there's a flashing red light on the tower… I know there is supposed to be a 12 month warranty but the website only has a contact us form. The 1300 number doesn't seem to work.

    • Oooft really, I've actually had some issues w my pc but I think I've fixed em…

The whole noname motherboard is quite annoying

  • +1
