  My dental hygienist recommended not to use the plastic 'floss' head due to the breakdown and microplastics in your system.

  I stick to the brush heads.

  Electric toothbrushes are like robot vacuums, lots of options to choose from, some suck.
  Wondering what to consider when buying an electric toothbrush, I’ve seen $19 models like this one to over $300.

    I've been using these $19 models for the last 4 years. They work perfectly fine and only need replacing once the battery wears out. Heads need replacement periodically (obviously).
    I personally haven't used any of the pricer options but the advertised features don't appeal to me and are definitely not worth the extra $280
    * 10 brushing modes - why?
    * travel case - okay…
    * 10 days battery life - the $19 ones last us 3 days brushing twice daily, battery lasts about 2-2.5 years, up to you whether this is worth the extra
    * 2-minute timer - same as the $19 ones
    * LED - I don't rave with them

  I find these work well but I still use a normal toothbrush once a week, the only other electric toothbrush I have tried was the colgate ones that didn't work well at all, I think they would be best suited to a lonley housewife.
