  I've found lure scent completely useless. I've tried the 'S' factor tubes that come in the packs on soft plastics, hard bodies and metal slices and I don't believe I've caught a single fish with it 'smeared' on a lure. I rock, surf and estuary flat fish (don't own a boat).
  Speaking of BCF though, my local has the 300m Silencer 2 braid for $18. Looks like someone just put $18 on all of them without realising there are 150 and 300m spools. Thinner diameter than entry level J Braid and Platypus etc, but thicker than premium Japanese braid. I grabbed a couple of spools as backup. Also had Daiwa & Savage Gear leader on clearance at a good price.

    Some fishermen swear by them, some say the product is completely useless. It's difficult getting a proper answer regarding these.
