  • Gonna get this for my grandparents. Add this phone plan/phone, and we will get unlimited calls for 1$ a day :D :D

    • Make sure to check if the reception is good for redbull (vodafone) in the area where your grandparents are living as Vodafone network is only good in some areas.

Same price as the 9145 that's still going at OW http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/75476 difference being the 9145 is a corded base unit, 9135 a cordless handset base unit.

Re: Bluetooth - I mentioned in the 9145 thread that we get crap mobile reception at our house (no it's not Vodafone, lol), but good reception in the kitchen only. With the 9145, we leave our mobiles in the kitchen, and we're free to make/receive calls anywhere in the house with the cordless unit (or the corded base unit).

Just seeing the post below, we don't have issues with buttons or Bluetooth operation. Going to a Telstra branded unit is surely a backwards step?!?

      • Glad yours works well - mine was good when it was new. In regards to the telstra set it was the only other bluetooth one that the store had. Wouldn't normally be my first choice hence buying the uniden in the first place :)

I bought this set shortly after they came out and had a few issues with it. The buttons don't always register a push and don't had a 'positive feedback' when you push them. That was more of a niggle but after a few months the bluetooth component broke and wouldn't register any mobile phones.

Took them back and swapped them for a telsra badged set. These were not as stylish, and were more expensive, but worked as required.

Still it's a good price for them although I recall paying about $120-$130 at the time. Maybe I just got a lemon from the batch!

    Same price, way better model.

    • How is it better to have the corded 9145 model. Does it have any extra features compared to the 9135. If not I'd prefer a cordless base unit.

      • It has a corded base unit, plus a cordless handset with a charging station, as well as a range extending repeater station. All for the same price, mind you.
