This has been posted twice before for the same price, but this time it looks to be a Prime exclusive.

This description is stolen from the first post, by Froot Loops.

Looks like a decent deal for a tool free aluminum enclosure with a silicon bumper case and both USB-C and USB-A cables. Lowest price ever according to 3xcamels, which is around $10 cheaper than their standard price and a few $$ cheaper than their lowest price. Read and writes are ~1000MB/s with NVME & ~500MB/s for SATA (users have also posted photos of this in reviews). UGREEN

  This or the Orico with the same RTL9210B chip?
  It seems like the Orico M2PV has a heatsink which might help with heat dissapation

  I used this for more than 6 month, perfect quality. This aluminium cover is applied to the silicone with pressure by screw. I tested it with multiple mode, no any significant heat, only little warm.
  Over USB 3, not USB C, on my NAS I get record speed about 200 MB/sec.

  What 1TB would be alright but not overkill for this?

  Is Kingston - NV2 M.2 PCIe 4.0 NVMe good value enough? Or is this enclosure an overkill for the Kingston?

    This case seems expensive for a relatively low speed compared to buying an external Samsung SSD.

    This case is going to significantly slow the speed of a good NVMe drive, while only being twice as fast as a SATA drive.

  This slide in design isn't the best option for heat transfer as the thermal pad won't make proper contact. Something like this Sabrent with a closing lid is a better option. https://www.amazon.com.au/Sabrent-Type-C-Tool-Free-Enclosure….

  I have used two since the last deal. The plastic is basic as per the price and as I use them for USB memory stick replacement no issues. The device does get hot during sustained transfers however I have had no issues after performing several almost maximum capacity transfers.

  Pros are the easy install of storage media inside the case, faster transfer speeds and portability and would purchase again.
