    • If you check the app what's the wifi signal strength?

  • Can you still use the old school remote with this installed as a backup or alternative option?

    Nevermind found it

    • Yep you can.

  • If i have 2 roller door motors, do i need 2 of these units to control both? I was thinking a cheaper option would be the meross relay controller as i could wire both manual switches to it.
I would use my reolink cameras to get alerts when open and closing.

    • I think 2 devices is bets for 2 doors.

If you hook both doors onto 1 decided and 1 door fails to trigger, then you will have 2 doors but out of sync.

  • Does anyone know if this works with Vicway brand rollers door units?

    • Do you have a link to the product?

  • Meross “Sold by Amazon AU” is now available for $53.

  • Does anyone know if this work with HomEntry roller door units from Bunnings Warehouse? (It's not showing as a compatible manufacturer on the Meross site).
    Thanks.

delivered and installed yesterday. App works well anytime or anywhere but I prefer using homekit. Homekit need a hub either apple tv, homepod or ipad to control when your not at home. Ive used my ipad as a hub so I can just ask Siri anytime and anywhere.
without a hub at home, you can only control homekit when your on the same wifi at home.
    Highly recommended.

  • This looks a faded purple.
So I need some extra attachment?

    • Use first 2 holes.
This basically acts as a wall button.

To do your town testing, get a small wire and poke it into the holes. (similar to the directional wire).

Each time you short it, the door should open or close.

Sorry that was a terrible explanation.

        Here's simpler steps

Get 2 small strip of wire… Anything you have.

1st one goes into very left hole
2nd one goes into the 2nd left hole

Tap the 2 other ends together and the door should open and close

If it does, the remote in this post is basically doing that connection via a wifi controlled switch

        • Thanks will give this a try!

  • So bought this device and installed.
Only to find out my garage door opener, a merlin prolift230t, is hard wired to the power cable out of the ceiling.
Even though everything seems to be working perfectly, when I connect the meross to an extension cord…
I don't have a socket on the ceiling to plug this thing.
    What do I do…

    • You need an electrician.

    • I didn't have good wifi where my motor was so I actually went to bunnings and get 2 core wiring and extended the cables for the door wall button… And moved the whole set up abt 15m into the room to a corner with good wifi and a power socket.., you obviously will need to cable manage it too. I just used 3m cable clips.

Fyi, you can also hook it up to a wall button if the button is hard wired.
