Samsung washers clean, dry and warm up your whole house
Occasionally set it on fire. Home content insurers must feel their sweats running profusely when seeing a Samsung washing/dryer combo listed in the applications haha
Do these combo actually work? I mean do they dry well?
I have an Electrolux that has been going strong for 5 years
Got my Electrolux since 2010, and still works really well.
They take forever to dry…
Waste of expensive electricity.
I remember the old Samsung used heaps of water when drying.
Yes water!
Great if you're renting and not paying for water
Yeah, they dry with super hot steam rather than dry air.
I use the 60minute wash/dry mode for sheets. I put a couple of queen sheets and pillow cases in and they come out a little damp, but that works for me. I drape them on a sofa to fully dry while I run another load of other washing.
For towels, I have a full load of 2 towels, 2 hand towels, 2 face towels, and 2 bathmats. I use the cotton wash/dry mode which takes up to 6 hours (1.5h wash / 4.5h dry). It adjusts the length to suit, and they come out fully dry. I don't think 4.5 hours is all that different to a standalone dryer for that kind of load.
I believe it uses water while it drys to keep parts cool. I don't pay for water in my apartment complex, so I don't really know if it's usage is excessive.
It suits me really well for space saving and allows me to do a full clean of everything for my Airbnb room in one night.
What is the point of having a dryer if the clothes come out "little damp"…
@congo: Because I'm prioritising time over dryness, as per my comment.
Doing that load in a basic sensor dryer would take about an hour (give or take 15 min) for me. I don't personally mind how long combos take to dry but it is a challenge if you need to do another load of washing. They are convenient and in this case, very cheap.
I've had an LG one for a couple of years that works quite well, but if you have enough room I would definitely go for a separate washer/dryer.
You mean enough room in pocket
I know its not the same as this one
but this video is just so memorable
2017 Shony presentation
That's one epic burn.
I ordered one in February - still waiting for one despite many many escalations. Bit of a warning - the deliveries from Samsung is a shit show at this time
It's beyond a joke - same thing happened to me last year, ended up having to go to consumer affairs before it went anywhere.
Okay I might do the same - did you just raise a case with consumer affair ?
I don't want charge back, I just want delivery - not sure if consumer affair can help there.
Definitely a deal breaker - Thanks!
I hear nothing but horror stories when it comes to ordering things from Samsung, I would stay away too
Samsung is having major issues with their logistics operation. They stopped their delivery service for 2 weeks early this month. I ordered s23 ultra on 24th feb. Still nothing. However, I have called them many times but their response is always same. Samsung after sales support is totally zero even worse than ebay.
How to get a edu email?
I had something similar from Samsung in the past. The washer was perfect after five years. But the dryer died just after one year.
dry your clothes under the sun, it's free and zero carbon emission
Not so sure, the sun evaporating the methane out of my undies is a little alarming.
I have one of the older ones and i love it. Its been going strong for 10 years+. Washes and dries with no intervention. Dries clothes really well. However, I have thick towels and if i put less than the max 6kg they come out dry. If i fill with towels close to the max, they don't completely dry. It does take about 6 hours for a wash & dry cycle, but its set and forget. I open the window and have the internal laundry door open, so the laundry doesnt heat up too much. Last year i opened it up to clean the pipes out as there was a build up of lint and wasnt drying properly, so ill probably do that a bit more often.
Boooo Samsung
