Thanks for viewing my post, hope you all have a great night!

Just a little bit about our Website:

I’m a 3rd-year apprentice carpenter, on my free time I have been working on creating a website where you can search, compare and save money on tools by directly comparing prices from Total tools, Sydney tools, Bunnings, and many other online stores.
With our website, you can check reviews, set price alerts, and even find the product manual for the tool you’re about to buy or have bought! Our price alerts function will notify you straight away when a price of a tool drops!

I also want to add some extra functions that would make the website even more useful for tradies, functions such as adding quick chippie calculations (totally free for everyone to use) I'm only a carpenter so quick chippy is a productivity app we use but if any sparkies or plumbers know of any other productivity apps they use, please let me know and I can add those in too!

Our Website: https://toolpricecheck.com/

Hopefully, I can help you save a couple of bucks on your next tool purchase!

    • Hey altomic, they only have a rating of 160, According to Ozbargain rules they must be a top rated seller or have a website to be mentioned here.

being a top rated seller or having a website is only a criteria for posting a deal.

        • +1

While I understand your point, I personally prefer to trust a seller who has a high rating of over 3.5k and is recognized as a top seller. He would have more at stake if they sell a faulty or fake product, whereas a seller with a low rating could easily sell low-quality goods and pass them off as genuine. Also, a reputable seller is more likely to prioritize customer satisfaction and offer better post-sale support. In my opinion, it's worth paying a few extra dollars to buy from a more reliable seller.

But this is just my opinion, I do not work for any of these companies, all I look for are the stats.

@ToolPriceCheck: Ryde tools has 1813 feedback at 100%

            • @altomic: Yep, hence why I included them on the post originally, they had 8 units in stock.

    • From A Combo Kit, No Retail Box.

  • Got one at Bunnings for like $82 recently.

  • The only problem with ebay purchases is Makita won't cover any warranty issues as 99.9% of sellers are not authorised makita retailers. Is that correct?

    • It's the store's responsibility to honour warranty.

  • Good luck with the website. It might make me buy more tools I don’t need.

    • Thanks! Always happy to help ahaha!

  • I looked at these recently https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/275677842374?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mk…
But from China. Not sure how authentic

    • Yes - I do like the way it says the goods are in Melbourne.

eBay should crack down on this nonsense.

  • Your website is pretty well put together, even found myself a deal on a Dewalt Underhood light that is $20 cheaper.

It really is a 10x more advanced version of the very simple IT website "staticice.com.au" which still gets a heap of use just because its quick and easy!

Thanks so much for that feedback JPNx, I'm so glad you were also able to find a good deal also! Ahaha yes actually this is the 3rd version of the website, the first version of this website was very similar to staticice, they were the original inspiration for our website!

      • Do I get same warranty from this ebay seller?

      • My only comment is the "Load More" button kind of doesn't follow the same idea of the "Products per Page" if i set PPP to 100 i can view 100 Items.
But if i press Load More its then defaulting to 10 Items and i need to press it 10 times to get another 100.

staticice just works so well overall, its simple and to the point.. maybe too simple but for anybody with experience in what they are looking for it cant be beat but it just works flawlessly.
